Fantastick playing, but a helpful tip is to use pink and red nail polish, it helps clear your tone and improve playability. I swear, Zakk Wylde couldn't even keep up when I paint my nails in hot pink

Best review I've ever seen. Actually playing (burning it up) the guitar instead of talking. Showing off the Floyd the way it should be. Different PU usage. And mostly rocking it like one would expect when checking out a Dave Murray. To me that's what sells a guitar.

Great sounding guitar and for an excellent price. Of course awesome playing as usual :) Maybe this is just me, but I have noticed that the quality of the floyd rose has improved a lot on the cheaper models. Might be simply due to better / modern production processes. Have you experienced this as well? As for the setup not being amazing that was sort of to be expected, especially at this price point. Not to mention shipping the thing from Mexico to France doesn't help either as wood shrinks and expands during temperature/climate changes and it can mess up your tone completely. If there is anything I can recommend new players: GET YOUR GUITAR SETUP BY A PROFESSIONAL AFTER YOU BUY IT! Seriously, even the most expensive guitar will sound horrible if not setup correctly.

Youre so right ;) yes the Floyd have improved a lot but this one is landed in dive only mode so I cant judge the flutter ability ;) flutter is always the bad point of a lot of floating bridges

I decided against this because of the floyd rose - i didnt want to have to take 2 guitars to a gig!! Got a HSS strat instead but I am getting the dave murray loaded pickguard to still get that killer tone!!

Hey Neo this is a great review! I'm looking at this Dave Murray Strat and an EVH Wolfgang Special which is also made in Mexico. Have you played the EVH? Wonder what you think about that guitar?? I'm a life long Iron Maiden Fan and have really wanted one of the DM Strats but I've always played HH guitars and also always played USA made instruments but just can't afford one now so looking at the cheaper alternatives.

What say you comment section? I have a telecaster that I want to upgrade the pick ups. I was gonna go full hot rails for as much output as possible, but I've seen alot of praise for the quarter pound also. So now I'm wondering if I should do one of each. Maybe it would be a little more versatile? I AM looking for high output though, so maybe I should just stick to 2 hot rails? Maybe it would be different if I had a third cavity to play with, and maybe someday I will have it routed

Guys... If I want to have a strat..do I still need to consider 22 frets? Or just take a 21 frets strat and play everything with it? Because I saw a lot of guitar legends who plays strat just play 21 frets.... But some people said you need to have at least 22 frets on guitar to play everything....

This guitar is a beast. Not your typical strat neck as per Dave. Sweet ride....well made mim imo. Pickup config pretty nice tones to fiddle with. The pickguard is a love or hate with most buyers...no need to change as it doesnt effect the feel or sound. A solid chunk of wood....i like

Thoroughly enjoyed that demo of this guitar.... Still waiting for mine to show up... Should be here by Feb 3rd I'm a Metal Head all the way... But the cover band I play in also does Funk and R&B .. Does it have a nice funk tone with those pick ups... If not, I'm not worried.. I have another guitar for that... This Guitar just had everything I wanted on a Fender Strat... I had a hard time deciding to spend that kind of money on a MIM but to get the Floyd Rose and those Pickups on a MIA it would cost more than I can afford..lol Thanks again for your video Tommy

Is the Floyd Rose floating (dives and pullups) or flat to the body (dive only)? I ask because I would probably want to add an EVH D-Tuna to it for Drop-D tuning and you can't install one if it's floating (I would have to block the trem).

Dave and Hendrix have very different styles. I think it my be fair to say I wonder what sounds Hendrix could have conjoured up with this rig...left handed of course. Like comparing Yngwie with gilmour ....similar guitars but would like to see if a scallopped fingerboard would alter or add to gilmours arsenal.
