sounds great man I just ordered the kit for mine, did you remove bright cap? Also how do you have it biased? I got mine used and I'm wondering if someone biased this thing too hot lol

Hey Austin! Good luck! It was really fun. I followed the instructions exactly, and I believe it told me to remove the bright cap (but I honestly can't remember 😅). The bias was adjusted to 22mA, that I remember because I had played around with tubes and never adjusted the bias until this mod. This is the stock setting from fender, and it gives you the classic clean sound at quiet volumes and creamy crunch at full blast

What else would you do to a deluxe reverb

@@handwiredbyme honestly, I really like the Deluxe Reverb for what is it. A basic amp with great clean sound and creamy Fender crunch. I've had that amp for maybe 16 years, and stopped using it because it was making noise (high pitched and other various ticks). The mod fixed this, plus Fromel's mods bring the amp closer to what the highly coveted early blackface models sound like (an overall warmer tone, and the highs are mellower). The Deluxe was pretty solid before, and I only did the mods to fix the noise issues...now that it's done, I'm super happy I mod'ed it 😁
