Like I always say w/ anything Fender...too bad they don't make enough types in lefty! Keep pumping out all of these different sub-categories Fender, and let me know when I can get a Jazzmaster/Jaguar(git&bass) left-handed. Until then, I'll keep ordering from Japan, who apparently still makes better instruments than anything that isn't Custom Shop. I should sue for recompense on the duties I have to pay!!

I think Fender should have stuck to the American '75 reissue Jazz bass but added more finish and fingerboard options. I feel like making a '74 reissue is an excuse to do away with the bullet truss rod and the 3-bolt neck system.

Notice that they give Annie Clements a Stevie Wonder line to use for the demo. One that she can barely play. Berklee...(makes fart noise)

That sunburst '74 Jazz at the 0:33 mark DOES NOT come with a maple fingerboard like the one shown. When I ordered mine directly from Fender I tried getting that one and they told me no. They said that the sunburst '74 J DOES NOT come with a maple fingerboard. I referred them to this video and they said it was a mistake. I was very disappointed.

Fender please can we get a demo of this quality for the new rascal bass there is very little information on it, and the two videos featuring the rascal don't have too much variety in playing styles or great audio quality no guitar store by me including a large Guitar Center is carrying it so something like that would be a great resource for interested buyers thank you very much

People call these Fender basses "work horse" basses; because they fit in easy to any sound any style ... but to me they are more Like "War Horse" Basses... because they keep on fighting to the fight is done!

Gorgeous basses! A little pricey, but if you bought an original you would need to probably have fret work done and setup, etc., and once you do anything to the frets on a 'real' vintage Fender, the resale value goes down. These are a good investment.

Probably consistent tone up and down neck...because hoardes of pros use this....I play an Ibenez rock bass but do few bass gigs...the other reason...the Fender Jazz bass has a bright tone so bass lines are more prominent as opposed to a boomy tone...my Ibenez is super bright though....I say if u cannot afford the Jazz bass or think it's to large get an Ibenez
