Honestly a real shame your channel is so small. I had an akita I grew up with for 13 and a half years before he had to be put down because his back legs went & had kidney failure. He was always quite stubborn but absolutely the most loyal and soft dog to family. He wasn't too bothered about other dogs unless they got within his personal space. Your videos give a real view and insight into how to propery train an Akita and all the reasons for doing so. Hopefully more people see these videos because lots of people are terribly misinformed and simply pay attention to the appearance!

Glad I stumbled upon your vids. Absolute gold dust. Had dogs including gsd's and an American Akita bitch whom I might add was an absolutely wonderful, loyal and protective dog. Haven't had a dog now for over 10 years due to work commitments, but now I have more time and just got myself a very headstrong Japanese Akita pup. Will be watching these videos to learn as much as I can as they are so informative. A very big thank you to you and your company. Keep up the good work.

WOW this video meant a lot to me. Very helpful. My first Alita was easy to work with but my second one not so easy. What I learned today will be helpful for the next one ...Lol but I can still use this info on my 4 year old Akita

This is a lot more challenging than I thought it would be but I’m glad I can use this video as a guide. I only have mine for about 3 days now and he understands the looking at me part but not his name. Hopefully in time he will get there.

My breeder already had the dogs named in 7 week old puppy pics on their web site so we just kept those names since the dogs were Missouri raised and bred - Tucker 140 LBS male and Candy 105 LBS Female - so totally American names for AKC pedigreed American Akitas.

I hope it's not too late to ask a question...this video is awesome. I have a 10 week old Akita. I am struggling to keep him interested in the treat for the time it takes to get it from close to him to my nose. He gets distracted and looks away almost every time. Is he just too young?

Hey brother I have a Japanese Akita 8 weeks old have been training him quite well tbh he’s pretty good with potty training but has the occasional accident here and there. He’s obedient for the most part but the naturally stubbornness comes out sometimes 😅 Any tips for a new Akita owner briefly?

Great videos! What questions should you be asking a breeder before buying an Akita puppy from them? Is there a way to do background checks on breeders? Thanks in advance!

Do you have a direct email address I could use to contact/ask you specific questions about an Akita my father owns? He adopted it a few years ago, and the more I've learnt about this breed, the more concerned I get about the lack of training I think my dads dog has received. Let me know the best way yo reach out. Many thanks!

Sadly, we're unable to answer specific questions on dogs behaviours as it's difficult to give advice purely on a description. We do have a number of training courses on our website: www.fenrirdogtraining.com, but we also recommend looking for a local trainer if you have serious behaviour concerns with your dog. If you would like to know more information about our courses, do contact us on contact@fenrircanineleaders.com

I like your videos but some critique that might improve their quality.. you talk very fast and very intense and do a lot of movement at the same time. It's a bit much, intense and hard to listen to :D not saying I dont like your enthusiasm but its a bit over the top
