I am so very sorry! Thank you for being so open and honest. I appreciate it because like you said, it really is the stigma and shame that keeps people from getting help or talking about it. God Bless you sweet momma. Your son was amazing!!! I am shocked they sent the drugs to you. Thank God you and your grandkids are safe. Wow!!! Nothing shocks me anymore. Until it happens to someone they love, they just don't get it!!! Unfortunately my son is in and out of addiction to this wicked drug. He started by using cocaine that was laced. He obviously survived but sadly became addicted. He just got out of 3rd rehab and I wouldn't wish this on ANYONE. My son is so much more than his addiction and so are all these other people. Its so sad that every drug is tainted with this (just about) and before anyone says anything, I KNOW nobody should even try a drug but keep in mind alcohol is addictive as well and kids/young adults think they are invincible! My son had the highest GPA and was in ROTC. This all started when he turned 18. Parents cannot control everything and we will always love our kids no matter how they mess up. God Bless you!! Again, I am so very sorry.

This could happen to anyone … we all have or some have… gone out on a Friday Saturday night and had too many and got offered some kind of blow, and IT IS FEN… and drop and start turning blue and cold and it’s like you know but you can’t reverse it hardly… anyways. I can’t imagine, and I can tell you are a very very VERY, without no doubt a loving mother, please never forget who your father is. You’re a child of God Almighty! I have a special fondness for young people that like to work with the elderly and the story of his relationship with his great grandma is really sweet. Truly a special young man. I don't think his being mixed race had anything to do with the lack of investigation of his death though because these crimes not being investigated is mentioned by the majority of the stories of white, black,Hispanic, etc. victims in this channel. The majority frequently complain there was minimal investigation. So not just mixed or black victims. Yet precious souls are dying from this poison and we still haven't figured out a way to provide a disincentive to selling this poison.There's got to be a way. Maybe if they are unable to prosecute for death of the victim maybe they can make stiff penalties for sales of fentanyl. They need to take this thing seriously and start doing something, anything.

I hope she is able to get the certificate amended to show the real cause of death, rather than labeling this fine young man as a "user". Shame on them. P.S. Receiving her son's phone back with the bindle of cocaine included is incomprehensible. There is absolutely NO excuse for something that dangerous to take place. I don't even know what to say to that other than I am happy that no one in the household came into contact with it. Anyways, I hope this mother has been able to find some amount of healing and peace.
