Feral (Fer.al) is a brand new game that will be released by WildWorks (the same people who made Animal Jam) in the near future. Today I give you guys some helpful tips and tricks on opening chests and finding lockpicks in feral (closed beta test wave 7)!
How was I accepted?
On December 17th, WildWorks emailed me saying I could login with my email and I was super excited to finally beta test the game! It was released for Jambassadors and also for around 100 - 200 people at that time. It's currently in a limited early access at the moment, but soon it will be in an open beta test. I know I’m late, but I have a very useful trick when opening chests. Watch where the opening is, and check how fast it’s going. Once you know how hard each opening is, _press before the opening comes to the lock pick._ it might sound crazy, but if the opening is spinning fast, it will be in a different area when you think it’s at the lock pick. I explained this pretty bad.

Also I think turning off the music helps a lot. The music for when you lockpick most likely makes it easier to panic, since it includes a rapid beat and... yeah.

I have two tips. The first is follow with your eyes. Cause sometimes I end up following another one and breaking my lock pick, it also helps with timing. Next one is optional, but it’s slower when you have less lock picks.

How do you have so many lockpicks? There is me with my 4 precious lock picks that I only use to open bronze chests because I am to scared to open any other. I hope this helps me save them -.-

Another thing that helps is closing your eyes and taking a deep breath between every gap you get successfully. Just calms you down and clears your mind.

For anyone who is having trouble finding lockpicks. In Mugmyre Marsh, loon under and around big tree roots, and on top of those sharpish rocks. Lockpicks like to spawn there alot.

The way I open chest is by putting my mouse at the end of the lockpick, but thats for clicking and now I know you can use spacebar, which is very helpful.

Hi Pugface! I am currently playing the open beta, but I’m having trouble controlling my avatar. I use a mouse but I still have a tough time moving around without running into walls or buildings every five seconds. I cannot keep my face very close to the screen due to Albinism, so my vision is more sensitive to light and such, I use my mousepad and I am luckily just very good at timing. So I think it also depends on your skill on timing too.

Follow the open space with your eyes ALL the way around. Heavily focus on it as it goes around. If you lost focus don’t click. Make sure the open space you are focused on is the correct one before clicking 👍
