Other religion founders name and start date available in history. Hindu (Sanaatan Dharma) is the oldest in all. Sikhism, Budhisum, Jainism religion born from Hindu. Hindu people love and respect other religion. Because we believe whole world is one family and we are child of one superpower. We just expect other religion people also love and respect.

At birth nobody has a character Dharma (righteousness) by following which man develops highest character Those who developed highest character and purity of life were called Brahmins Modern Caste System (Dalit, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes) was introduced by British in 1935 After looting India, people from all religion and castes who were suffering from extreme poverty were called Dalits Dalit means broken British made caste based on poverty. It was British forced Hindus to declare their caste British conducted census and forced all to declare caste and gave them caste certificates Till then no Hindu carried caste certificate Reservation system was introduced in 1918, those schools which did not follow reservation did not get financial aid

Hello dear Ferdy! I can understand your Confusion about this Topic "Hinduism" .. Please let me tell you some main Key Points that will give you a better Overview: - It is not a fixed Religion but a whole Cosmos of different Traditions that basically give you Answers on fundamental Questions of Life but can differ in their Concepts, they overlap in many Areas and share many Ideas though, they co-exist peacefully. - It is not based on a Belief System, Hinduism is actually a Science of Life, it incorporates many different Disciplines, from Medicine, to Architecture, Music, Poetry, Sanskrit Grammar and Chanting to Astronomy and Philosophy. So you could say Hinduism means the intellectual and spiritual Achievements and Ideas of a whole Culture that evolved over thousands of Years and is still evolving. It is not based on 1 Single Book but there exists many many different Texts, each Tradition bases their Teachings on other Scriptures. . Although there are several Main Scriptures that are universally accepted and reveered.. -The 4 Vedas (and from there especially the Upanishads), the Bhagavad Gita and the Brahma Sutras + many Commentary Literature by spiritual Masters.. - Some of the Main Questions all indian Religions focus on is: Who am I? What is the Self? How can one overcome Suffering? - There is no Need to subscribe to any Belief System, you are free to choose after you investigated, it is also NOT about reaching Heaven or preventing Hell. You don't need to apologize for potenzially insulting anybody! There is no Harm in asking Questions, Hindu Teachers will always encourage you to ask Questions and think for yourself. If you want to learn more about Hinduism, i can especially recommend to you the Lectures by Swami Sarvapriyananda! He has many Lectures and Lecture Series on KZbin .. an incredible Teacher. By listening to his Videos you quickly will get an Insight .. Among many Videos i could recommend, i will give you these 2, if you have some time and Concentration, please check them out! - The higher Knowledge: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpfNc5-sm99-i9E - The Yoga of Self-Inquiry: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqTOkoqJZahmrLc - I can't experience God? kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoHLpKB-h6hsrq8 If you could give me your Feedback i would be happy! The West (especially the British) picked up one thing - that is caste... and made it a huge stereotype amongst everyone. They first divided Hindus and Muslims - then to divide further - they exploited the caste system even further and made it deep-rooted in the minds of people here. They gave more and more preferential treatments (more than what already existed throughout last 1000 years) to the upper castes - made them believe they are the ones to rule the lower class while themselves getting ruled by the Britishers.. (that's how cunningly Britishers managed to keep the vast population in check for 200 years - by making selective sections of Hindus oppressing other sections) Then - when in the beginning of the 20th century when really literate and visionary people from different castes started realizing that - what's happening is not correct and to overthrow Britishers out - they need the cooperation from all sections of the society, then only things started to become flexible slowly (at least I believe things are much better than what it was 100 years back - agreed caste/ inter-caste marriages are still issues in more conservative regions are families - but still reforms are happening slowly but steadily due to reach of education, reach of media/social media, migration to cities - better access to family welfare schemes) But the western world mainstream media still kept that stereotype alive - for no reason and without any research depth. Still trying to keep the negative spotlight on India. And the biggest of irony these western countries feed to their people - that India is still a 3rd world country... but conveniently hiding the knowledge that all of the world's biggest companies have their outpost in India - making enormous amount of money from the Indian market which then they use it back in their country lol... The largest and biggest companies/corporates of the world had to make their product customized only to be able to compete and sell here. Majority of the CEOs / Senior Management consists of Indians. And these are only on the Economic front - let's just forget where Indians are in the fields of STEM, IT & Medicine. Yet - the west will continue to label as 3rd world poor country with relentless portrayals of caste oppression, gender discriminations, communal violence and political corruption every time

Clarification of the caste system: It started out as the varna system that the west and those of Abrahamic religions LOVE to demonize. The varna was basically a system as follows:- 1. Brahmins (Researchers - both spiritual and worldly and thus teachers (Who get 0 respect these days)) 2. Kshatriyas (Warriors and law enforcers) 3. Vaishyas (Traders and Merchants) 4. Shudras (Craftsmen) When it started out there was a LOT of fluidity in the system considering that a lot of sages and know saints started out in some other caste and then became saints thus signifying a change in their caste allotments. Then due to greed and power and complacence some of the Brahmins who were given the highest tier of respect started taking their places for granted. Which ideally would not be a bad thing because NO ONE respects researchers and teachers these days. Then the manu smriti came along and propounded the idea that if your father and your ancestors were Brahmins then you should be a Brahmin too because the apprenticeship that you would get would put you head and tail above others who had no such guidance and thus would progress less than you in your respective fields. Thus a hardening and solidification of the varna system happened. It was disadvantageous if your ancestors and family were full of traders but you wanted to be a warrior, you were at a severe genetic disadvantage to those who were from a kshatriya family as they had been warriors for generations and thus would know hidden techniques and knowledge which would put their kids above you and a greater chance to progress in life. IT IS NOT as the commonly ignorant western notion that it is a fixed system from birth. This is an idea that was pounded into minds of people to promote hinduphobia and give young Hindus an inferiority complex. Today in the west it is definitely a tiered society where everyone complains about the 1%, wall street, those on the bottom (homeless and those on food stamps) and the blue collar workers and the white collar workers. But the Hindu caste system is bad. Give me a break.

You got many things but you'll remember only one thing that is cast system. But Initially vedas and bhagwati geeta made Verna system which is followed by ability not by birth but some orthodox Hindus made hard rule for Hindus in the Manusmriti ,then problem of caste system started so this problem doesn't exist in real scripture like vedas and bhagwat geeta. And also remember one thing that nowadays many Hindus don't follow caste system .

Hinduism is not a religion but Universal duties... It's about the principles of life and our duties and responsibilities that we personally have towards the whole creation....For example, the main duty of a human is to help others without expecting anything in return... That's one of the duties...Now you also have duties towards your mother, your father, your sister etc ... Sanatan Dharma says, the more you create bonds with people, the more you will have duties and responsibilities towards them... That's why a monk is someone who cuts ties with all people and becomes a loner and seeks for enlightenment by getting rid of all the materialistic goals... Materialistic things never bring you permanent bliss...if you buy something material for example, you might feel happy for a while when gaining it but that happiness will not last for long ... because you will definitely feel bored after some times and you will go seek for some other material object that will make you happy temporarily again....the cycle goes on like that... Enlightenment means when you have come to the understanding that the world is not here to satisfy your personal pleasures...And real happiness cannot be acquired from gaining but rather giving...You want to be happy? Just give...Share....Share your happiness with others...Make someone smile...you will feel happy at heart...Being the reason as to why someone is happy is love, is caring...That brings happiness! Happiness is also you...It is not a result but a choice...You decide when you want to be happy...So stop seeking fake temporary happiness from material things.... That is what Sanatan Dharma teaches....Sanatan Dharma also teaches that we have to see divine in everyone and everything...Because God pervades the whole universe...A Hindu can visit churches, masjids and temples...Because we see God everywhere....Inside you, inside him, inside her, inside it, inside them... We follow the rule: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam which means the whole world is our family... We don't limit ourselves to one particular belief...But we are seekers of the truth...Our Gurus never tell us to follow what we only believe in...but they tell us to go, travel the world, make it yours....Why limiting yourself to only one particular society, religion, organization when you can have the whole world for yourself? A whole world is ready to embrace you....Embrace it all!!! Take it all!! Embracing the whole world means embracing the Divine.... We worship many gods and goddesses because we believe they are all the attributes of One God....God is unlimited and can take any form He wants to come and visit us... We fold our hands and bow down and say namaste and namaste means "I bow down to the divine soul that resides inside of you"....Because we believe you are a piece of God... Read Bhagavad Gita and you will find yourself there in the place of Arjuna....And God will be talking to you....you will feel awakened by God Himself....God told Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita that life is a struggle....It is like a battlefield...it is a choice and a struggle between the good and the evil....But you as a human, you should always take the good out of the bad... Don't think too much about what is going to happen but do your duties....Accomplish your tasks and leave the results in God's hands.... Don't think negative but train your mind to think positive....

Things are not meant to be taken literally, but in a sense it is propogated in dialectical form to understand the spiritual nature of things...so don't take things literally whatever is said in the video.... These are just concepts to understand certain truths... I know in the West people tend to be literal in all things....but in India people just read between the line....it means they go in circle not directly which makes things boring if said literally....

I understand ur dislike of the habit of not marrying from other caste..... But plz understand 2500 years ago ... That's what the best thing they thought would be good for society... Let me explain Suppose u are a goldsmith... U love a girl from a blacksmith family.... That girl is of no use to u.... Because after marrying u her blacksmith knowledge is of no use to u....in those times ..every odd people need a have some skills and every business were family business. There were no schools and colleges... Or online education apps... Where u can get knowledge.... So the only knowledge transfer was what u learn from ur family... Ur mom dad.. and others....... The skills that u learn for years ... Some body from other caste can not just come and learn in 2 days...and imitate.... Each person in his own caste and his or her skill was the best.... So if he or she marries anybody else from other caste he or she will be a burden in their family.... Do u understand now..... In mordern days.... U can go to a school or college and choose ur own choise of subject and learn.... And u can marry a person who is interested in the similar subjects...... But plz think about it.... Suppose u love dancing ..or may be u do it professionally..... Would u like to marry a person who dislikes dancing.... Or doesn't know a bit about dancing or dislikes dancers.... It is not possible.... So how can u think 2500 years back a goldsmith guy who doesn't know bit of blacksmith would respect a blacksmith family girl..... And even vice versa.... Don't think blacksmiths were poor illiterate people.... They were quite rich.... And even today's mordern world black smithers are the billionaires... ....plz take a note in the mordern world black Smiths still don't marry any body from the goldsmith family...if he or she is running the business.... Show me one... Because that goldsmith boy or girl would be of no use...... But it's right .... This policy has been used negatively...against poor people.... Now a days if one sector of business goes down govt support comes.... 2000 years back it was not so.... So if a perticular sector ..or skill business goes down.... They become poor.... And nobody wants to sit with the poor.... So they got regarded as low caste..... Even today it is true.... U may be very sentimental about poor.... Write good things about them ... Click photos....but while giving the place in the same table u are sitting u don't give it..... Example upto 6th July 2021.... Rich nations got 50 to 60 % vaccinated... Only 1% got vaccinated in Africa..... What was true 2500years back.... Same is true even today

People cannot marry other caste because it creates degeneracy in the borned child, its a core belief but its very deep and im incapable of explaining all of it, but i can assure its not a bad thing. Hinduism isn't a set of rules that you must follow or someone would punish you no but you would end up getting in the wrong path and have many troubles, you would face your own karma so the teachings becomes a guide for you, its totally your choice at the end of the day.

Mother Goddess Parvati and Sati are same person only they have just reincarnated 2 times which means Lord Shiva has only 1 wife, even Vishnu has 1 wife, the earth goddess is a form of his wife Ma Laxmi only. this video is not accurate some mistakes but it's okay for beginners. Hinduims is nor monotheism nor paganism it is paradox of both and are both at the same time, creator and creation are same thing or being, creation (nature/energy) is feminine part of creator and creator (intelligence/consciousness) is the masculine part of the almighy, hindu god is both gender at once or gender less or equally divided itself, hindu god can be many and many gods can be 1 in singular format, god is not limited to 1 form nor he is limited for being formless, it can be in many forms as well just like water if it freezes it can be any form and when it melts it can be forless. hinduims is much much deep it is not possible to describe it in one comment.

And the dates given to hinduism by westerns so called "scholors" dosen't help to figure out how old is hinduism or Sanatan dharma is, it has no beginning and is called eternal tradition because it not a religion or man made thing to have a starting point, date or founder, it is as old as nature and humanity. other religions wants to convert you, hinduims has no conversion rather it has suddhikaran process which means unconversion or purification of a being back to humanity, nature, back to the roots. hindus dont have any saviour or messiah because there is no problem in the first place from which you needs to be saved, rather it is only focused on how to live a better, moral, ethical, right way of life by evolving physically, consciously and spiritually.

There is so much bs in this video about Hinduism. For starters, no one came from Europe called Aryans, this is an European invention to satisfy their superiority complex. No one believes anything in Hinduism, it's a culture of questioning and seeking that is drilled into you from childhood due to the Gurukul system of education that existed earlier. That innate quality of seeking is what drives you towards your realization. The common thing among all religions of the world is one guy who had a divine experience. Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life to manufacture those enlightened beings. It turned into a culture later on. But due to the western educational system that all Hindus go through, we are trying to fit Hinduism into a belief system like other religions. I am pretty sure more than 90% Hindus have never read the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas etc.. because they are in Sanskrit and no one knows Sanskrit in India, it's almost extinct unfortunately. Reading translated texts is useless. Dharma does not mean behavior. It means laws. There are only 2 categories of laws, universal laws and social laws. Universal law means Sanatana Dharma which describes the working of the universe. This does not change even if solar system disappears tomorrow. Social laws are subject to change and needs to debated every generation. They are not written in stone. Ex: Dharma of a king may be different 1000 years ago and today. There was never a caste system in India. The word caste comes from a Portuguese word Casta. We had a varna system and manusmriti says this system is not absolute and needs to change every generation. Some of the bad things attributed to Hinduism is a consequence of 1000 years of Invasion. A working and dynamic social system turned into an exploitative structure. It is supposed to be the most liberal way of life on the planet, that seeks to explore the reality of the existence and turn you into a divine being. No one can define Hinduism, because it is multi dimensional in its nature. It is for this reason that more than a billion Hindus exist in India even after 1000 years of Invasion.
