This is absolutely epic tbh porting old gold games such as total war, company of heroes and etc, PC may offer better gameplay and display, but mobile devices can make us play it anywhere and anytime.

It's interesting they say they wont be adding cut content, but through the photo previews it's very clear they added things like family trees. Not to mention they straight up confirmed province liberation. They probably just said that so no one gets their hopes up, but they probably will be adding a few things.

I've bought every game (except Alexander the Great) for mobile, I love Total War and it's a game that always caught my attention. But I think it's a shame that they can't touch two buttons and allow us to play with the other minor factions or even those on the other side of the pond.

There was a time when a total war dlc about some rando obscure japanese civil war that was mostly unimportant even to them was something I was totally down to buy due to it being total war. Now I could literally hear the words "WW1, Empire 2, Medieval 3, Rome 3, and Shogun 3 all for $40" and id be skeptical... because its total war

My best guesses at the naval replenishing changes is either: Only being able to replenish in ports that can train those ships (e.g. first rates only in steam drydocks vs. brigs in every port type) or when repairing the unit will appear in the training queue). Also reduction in those stupid crap-stacks by the ai, very much liking that. Bit apprehensive on the ai improvements, but then again it's one of those things that has to be seen to be really commented on

Hard disagree on the smaller stacks. The A.I raiding your territory was something that made empire cool imo

@@spiffygonzales5160 I think if I remember correctly they said that they would be reducing down single stacks mostly around areas like istanbul greece and netherlands other than that I don't think they changed much :)

Nov 14, 2024 So to sum up Everything in the base game of Empire remains intact with just some cosmetic changes from other TWs to spruce up what people didn’t like about the original game…nothing new since they did that for Rome and Medieval TW on mobile I can’t wait to see what the max unit army limit plays like on the battlefield on mobile. (Rome was 38,720 Units for mobile across 242 max unit limit with tryorei/Legionary first Cohort on 8 fractions..only the Roman fractions like Julii, Scipii, Brutii S.P.O.R had 242 unit max so I just 2x them as CPU teammates) I recently tested it and ran smooth on my iPad M1…which is just graphically stunning on mobile to watch Who says mobile is weak and can’t handle massive TW battles anymore?? Not me… Edit; also on the $20 point, Empire released in 2009, meaning it’s 15 years old but these small improvements to AI especially are the best feral can do since they didn’t make the game, and don’t fully want to rewrite the entire game as their job is only to port the existing original game. Plus $20 isn’t that bad when console games like Resident Evil 4 on mobile costs literally $60 for just the base game (new consoles games on mobile usually go on sale so it’s likely empire will be $10 at launch)

Well definitely not at launch. But the fact the are doing dlc for purchase with the warpath campaign doesn’t mean that they won’t add new dlc however unlikely. I would wager they won’t

They are working on doing this kind of shit... porting games to phones (cause people seem to be playing on phones nowadays so thats what gives money) instead of building a new game engine for a good Medieval 3, Empire 2, or even a WW1 new total war game... definitively Total War is dead, and its all CA fault

Feral Interactive is in charge of porting the games. CA has NOTHING to do with it (except probably distribution)

The golden age of gaming has passed this is what we have now we just going backwards but I’m not 11 years old anymore the only time I’ll have time to play this is in the toilet hiding from my wife and kids!
