Phenomenal video! Been wanting to switch to an ITX case without sacrificing my ATX PSU or my 240mm radiator. Happy to see that you did a build with it and that it all will fit!
@gucky47173 жыл бұрын
A little detail you forgot to mention. The 3090 (and other 30X0FEs) also push air through the Card, but that air gets blocked by the Mainboard thus somewhat overheating it.

I followed this case for months and finally just got it a week or so ago. Even despite watching/reading as many build guides as I could ,I was still so frustrated. 280mm AIOs are ridiculously hard to fit unless you remove the middle spine (big design flaw imo) I had to remove everything that I smushed in there and now waiting on custom cables to start building again.

You could get something like those non slip furniture pads on Amazon for both clearance and stability. They might even come handy for other things around the house.

Looks like quite the versatile SFF case, a riser that actually works with PCIe4 is a big plus too.
@Fidodo3 жыл бұрын
You're supposed to use a right angle adapter to get the video cables to fit without needing extra clearance. Given the alternatives I think it's a good compromise.

The USA is slowly going metric, also for ITX cases. I remember 70 years ago in the Netherlands, my mother used pounds for weights. Fortunately already in the early fifties 1 pound was 1/2kg. Nowadays everybody only uses grams or kilograms. The USA is the one of the three countries in the world not using the metric system. The 2 others are Myamar and Liberia and Myamar announced to go metric.

07:41 - "believe it or not, the Msi 2080 super is bigger than the rtx 3090" - i went and checked and determined it not to be the case - Msi gaming x trio 2080 super measures 328 x 140 x 56.5 mm, the reference rtx 3090 is 336 x 140 x 61mm
@Level1Techs3 жыл бұрын
And yet in the video the parts that stick out on the end you can see it doesn't fit as well as the 3090 ...
@renerant3 жыл бұрын
@@Level1Techs i hadn't watched the video further, but yeah, seems like you're right. Even though the msi card is only shown diagonally in the case (which would make it longer) as opposed to the 3090 in its installed state, it seems to be a bigger..
@Level1Techs3 жыл бұрын
It's just the plastic and heatpipes sticking off the end in the way. Otherwise it is a bit smaller. I could maneuver the 3090 on whereas on the super it wouldn't go

I wish they offered a black chassis with white mesh. For me a white chassis just feels too busy when you have white and black parts alternating all over the place. Or maybe a short run of silver meshlicious...-es? I miss case colors other than white and black.

Wendel can you do another revisit to NVME RAID setup for Threadripper. There is not a lot of videos that focused on how problematic it is to get RAID to work in Windows. I'm having a one hell of a time to get things to function with a bunch of SSDs I bought for my M.2 Xpander and X399 Threadripper. I had to have rebooted my PC like 30 times over the last 15 hours troubleshooting this.

It seems that in the last few years that there has been an explosion of SFF cases on the market in a variety of shapes (which makes me glad). I was really scratching my head ~5 years ago wondering why ATX motherboards/builds were still so popular among "gamers" when multi GPU was already dead. The market has finally caught up to my expectations.
