She just left it too long to follow up her debut album. I think that and going back to BEP so quickly hurt her in building a core fan-base. By the time she came back with this, and a big project at that, she just didn't have a fan base or casual listener checking for her. She should of carbon copied Gwen with rush releasing a second album straight after.

An amazing album, Fergie always doing her best... Bep and Interscope don't support this era, she was sad about Josh... so many things goes wrong... But I still love her and I will waiting for new songs someday when she feels comfortable.

My favorite thing to come out of this era was the Today Show interview where they tell Fergie she went number 1 on itunes but she though they meant she went number 1 on billboard 200 and started fake crying lmao, a whole mess like the era

I had NEVER heard any other single off this album except for MILF which I found very crass at the time but you did a phenomenal job showcasing the work that went into it. I added it to my music because this record deserves more love! I'm sorry how she was treated during all of this, especially by so called fans. She is a great artist. Pressure has never helped anyone to shine.

I think the whole project was underrated, I've enjoyed most of the singles especially Life Goes On which is a great pop song and should have much bigger.

I am a huge Fergie fan. I honestly think that one of the big reasons most of the songs flopped, except LA Love and MILF, is because the songs are “slow” or have boring music videos. Very different from The Duchess, where pretty much all the singles were very well produced and were very high quality. I think if Fergie had focused more on producing a few good songs instead of embracing music videos for the whole album, then Double Duchess would have been more memorable.

She took a long time to follow her debut album and when she returned, the scene was change and then the thing with her as well (and most of the live footage here shows it) when she hits the high notes, she's not singing anymore... she's yelling and screaming! that's pain to my ears. She's one album wonder and she should have stayed in Black Eyed Peas as a member.
