This video makes me feel emotional. These girls fought so hard as they could. When they dropped the surprise album “The Lost Tapes”, I was so happy because the fans knew how meaningful it is for them. I cross my fingers for them, I hope BMG takes care of their legacy. ❤ Their music is outstanding in the “girl band’s” world. Amazing video, amazing content, love love love ❤️

I loved this. It filled in some of my knowledge gaps and I thought the little behind the scenes videos were great! Despite Amelle and Heidi praising the original lineup, both Heidi and her mum were quite rude on social media about the girls’ speech at the MOBO awards because she wasn’t mentioned in their thank yous. Keisha seemed fairly upset about this on Twitter as they only had a short time and lots of people to thank and even that was edited down for the broadcast. Heidi’s mum commented that Heidi was part of their success and co-wrote many of them songs. While that’s true, she hasn’t been part of the group for several years now. I wouldn’t remember to thank former work colleagues if I was accepting an award for a current role. The current lineup has always been keen to emphasise the contribution of all former members when asked about the group’s legacy.

Lots of fans can't let it go either and constantly whine about Heidi... Which is probably the reason she acts like this too. Because she feels she has the public support. The comments of her mother however are just completely embarrasing and out of touch. I also don't believe the rumors of 4.0 reuniting to do a "counter tour". Amelle is probably up for it, but never in a million years would Jade do this. This is just the media meddling again, have they not learnt anything...? Edit: and to add... If rumors are too be believed, it's not even safe Heidi contributed much to the song writing. She just always got credited because of their contracts at the time (same for Mutya). It's said she didn't ja had much interest in songwriting after Amelle joined. But... This can't be verified directly (though neither has that many writing credits from Change onwards, that's when their contracts changed).

if I remember correctly it was available only on amazon as mp3 download, don't remember if it was free but it flopped so they said it was promo only so it doesn't count. One question that I had for the longest time is: what's Keysha's and Mutya's relationship with Heidi? Was there ever a fallout? They spent a lot more time with her than with Siobhan
@xandernotharris7 ай бұрын
I’d disagree actually. Mutya and Keisha have now spent a collective 15 years working with Siobhan from their debut, MKS and until now. I don’t think they have much of a relationship anymore with Heidi (esp after she sided with Amelle and their management at the time) but I also think they’ve all moved on from it and just have a mutual respect to one another.
@maritta25046 ай бұрын
Well, a lot has been said in the past 20 years... What's sure is that it was actually Mutya who gave Heidi a hard time when she first joined (Mutya actually confirmed this). I don't think they ever really mended their relationship, nobody ever talks about that one. The biggest fallout between Keisha and Heidi obviously was when Heidi sided with Amelle to get Keisha kicked out of the band and then claimed Keisha was a bully.... Apparently, they have made up some years later. But I don't think those two are on "speaking terms" exactly either. Maybe they send each other christmas cards or whatever, but I doubt they speak to each other regularily otherwise. Heidis recent reactions would suggest that too.
@andreid.85686 ай бұрын
@@maritta2504 thank you. I had no idea that's how things went down

@@maritta2504 I actually think Mutya an Heidi mended their relationship after that rocky beginning, because I remember Heidi saying in one of the first interviews after Amelle joined that she was disappointed that Mutya never said anything to her about leaving the band because at that point they had closer relationship than Mutya had with Keisha.

Edit to clarify: None of this comes from a place of hate! I am not hating on this video or the effort that has been put into it! But I wish you would have included some more tidbits about the album and the recording sessions... Such as that "Love In Stereo" (one of their best songs from those sessions imo 😣) was aquired and released by Bananarama... Or that they had to re-record some bits of those songs because the original recordings got lost (maybe also partly a reason the album was called "The Lost Tapes"?)... Or that they couldn't clear the sample for Swimming Pools and had to remove it for the release. And that there was a deluxe version with even more songs released on 31st of December 2022.... They also directly claimed we didn't get the album back then because of the leaks. Also, yes, the release of Flatline was very weird, but ultimately it dropped mid-week directly after their performance on Chatty Man, which you also showed here (the performance there was also claimed to be the reason the release was brought forward again). But apart from that, it was a nice watch! ❤

@@madmandonna1 well, that's beside the point imo. I didn't say I hated it, it was a good watch and yes, I am aware how long that must have taken. But for something that wants to be a documentary about the album, it lacked some key facts about the album (which are not that hard to come by because Keisha pretty much said that all in her videos) 🤷🏼♀️.
