In this video I replace the water pump that leaks badly on the TED20. The water pump used can be bought from here: www.queenslandtractorspares.co... or here au.sparex.com/water-pump-assem...

Getting the radiator out of the way makes replacing the water pump an easy job Lance. Nice work getting the pulleys lined up. Enjoy your week.

G day Lloyd, Yes having the radiator removed easily is a good think for working on it and filming as well. There is a few things to go on the old girl yet though.

👍 That's on my to do list, got a slight weep, and quite a wobble, as well as the thermostat. Thinking about replacing the injector nozzles as well. Might give them a clean 1st, see how they go.

This is a nice easy job, sit on a milk crate and fiddle away.
@edwardmullan27244 жыл бұрын
Just did this job. One thing to watch out for is the holes on the new hub not 100% matching up with the holes in the fan and pulley. Only off by a millimetre or so, but enough to make getting the bolts back in a bit fiddly, especially when going in from the side as I was.
@BundyBearsShed4 жыл бұрын
G day Edward, I have found that out as well. Just off a little.

My cooling system didn't have a thermostat in it when I found it, but I didn't know, and I didn't know why the radiator was venting the pressure after 10mins of warm-up. It's because if you take the thermostat out you have to also block off the thermostat bypass hose. The farmer before me did half-a-job.

My bought a TEA 20 recently and I have been working at getting it running. Your videos are much "appreciated" When I had the carb off I noticed that a piece of linkage (a rod that connects the throttle to the choke) was missing and I haven't been able to locate a replacement part. Any idea of where I could find one??? Thanks!
@BundyBearsShed6 жыл бұрын
G day Fred, They are just a bit of 1/4" rod with a 90deg at one end and a unf thread at the other. Easy enough to make depending on what gear you have at your disposal. The only other option is a wreckers.

Is this the same procedure for the 23c diesel on a FE35? Mine is leaking excessive water from this area so I’m going to do a pump and seal.
@BundyBearsShed3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is the same pump usually. Unless there has been an after market one fitted.

Does anyone know what the purpose of the curved washer is? The one that sits with two bolts in front of the pulley and is market "balancer".
@BundyBearsShed6 жыл бұрын
I'm keen to know as well. The parts book calls it a balancer but it is very light.
@stuartmaier24656 жыл бұрын
It must be balancing the cotter pin and/or the trapezoidal bolt pattern so you have to put it across the correct two bolts, but I'm keen to know what the adjustment procedure is...

GDay 👋🏼🦘Mr. Bear 🐨 from W.A🦘 Your uncontrived tutorials were the Main force ⚡️ guidance 🎓 coaxed me through tackling 2X P.T.O bearing change outs, ➕ the confidence to improvise with their seating. This topic on cooling systems, caught my attention due to a new addition to my humble Fergie fleet, is gradually loosing aqua, after a reasonable slasher set. 🔍🤔 Thankfully 🙏😅 there’s no discolouration in zé installed coolant, the improvised metal piping/muffler tube, is tight with the relatively recent hoses. So, this Certainly leads to ‘once again’ this Welcomed vlog/post of yours is going to prove invaluable, I’ll watch again how you detach the radiator. The surrounding shroud, should be straightforward, Cheers 🍻 GøVernøR Beår 🐨🎓🎶🤙🏼😉🌅🦘

Mine hasn't got that funny slotted bracket that came out from under two of the fan bolts . What's that for? All I can think of it being is a balance weight, but how would you balance that assembly? Obviously meant to be there or Lance would'a been surprised.
@BundyBearsShed6 жыл бұрын
G Day Stuart, That slotted bracket is called a balancer in the parts breakdown but I cant imagine it doing very much as it is so light. I went to the repair manual and it doesn't get a mention so I'm not sure really.
@stuartmaier24656 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking on that, Lance. I just had a thought and am wondering if it's there just to offset the out-of-balance caused by that big cotter pin on the water pump shaft. It would be interesting to see how they had it placed in relation to the cotter pin.
@stuartmaier24656 жыл бұрын
Oh, wait. I guess a trapezoid bolt pattern is inherently unbalanced too. Maybe that's why it's there. Er..., do you sell that balancer Lance?

I need to purchase new pump but I also need the housing that the pump attaches to. It is in-between the motor and the water pump. I can not find this part on your web shop. Is this available? My unit has the hose outlet to the bottom of the radiator rusted away. Thanks

No it is not available ,only second hand. There are also different ones depending on if the water pump is on the block or the head .

Hey, shouldn't you have run the circuit with some cleaner before fitting the new pump ? That thing looks rusty as hell :)
@BundyBearsShed5 жыл бұрын
I often don't like to as all of the scale etc once dislodged will block the top of the radiator fins, then you over heat and need a radiator repair or replace. Sometimes it is best left alone.
