Out of all the things you're doing that I love, (I have to say your replace and keep for repair, sand & weather idea is sound thinking) I can't help loving that mirror on the exhaust as it's just so sensible in terms of safety especially today when the standard of driving (along with the patience of most drivers) is just so low. Much respect from Glasgow, Scotland

As for the fuel tank, you can "borrow" the wife's red food dye and fill the tank with water and the dye and see where the dye comes from.

That tractor will turn out well don’t worry about a cowling on the radiator as you won’t be working it hard enough to matter and when the bonnet is closed you cannot see it I restored a tvo one 20 years ago for match ploughing. I put Pirelli radials on it for traction at matches in wet weather. They don’t look right but it will pull the plough better than newer ones with correct style cross plies with diff locks

I would sooner use a oil/ diesel mix sprayed on to preserve the patina than clear coat it. If you clear coat it you might just as well paint it in my opinion.
@IFarmWeFarm3 жыл бұрын
Why does the clear coat put you of? See the one issue I have with an oil diesel mix is that it would be cover in dust and dirty to handle.
@paulf25293 жыл бұрын
@@IFarmWeFarm the clear coat will get chipped and to me always looks a bit shiny. The oil diesel does attract dust at first but you can just shift this with a old paint brush and air line. I prefer the slightly mat look of the oil and diesel by comparison .

sorry but it's not 'always gonna be safer with a thermostat in'. thermostats fail - if they fail in the closed position, no water flows thru the radiator and the engine can overheat. if you don't fit the thermostsat you are never going to have it jammed closed. so no thermostat means NO overheating. you are so very welcome.
