Yes he drove (divebombed) like a beast against Alonso's rear tire from a mile away for no reason, which could've ended both of their races, but still made Alonso to fall 2 places. By no reason I mean that there was tons of space and he was so far away he had no chance of overtaking. He was driving behind Alonso for a good while and while Alonso ended up P3 a good while before the end of the race, he ended up in P6 behind a much slower mercedes which took 2 laps for Alonso to overtake. Like Alonso would say, Amazing. PS although I do acknowledge that he missed the winter testing and he was still probably in pain, like he was in practice.

To be fair I think his condition was blown out of proportion. If you look at this post race interview he's slapping Alonso to the back with a happy grin on his face, no pain + he's walking with a light step. Doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain to me. Maybe he was still a couple of days prior.

Some drivers never got an world title, but are still extremly strong and I would also say to them that they are goats (like Kubica, Montoya, etc.). There are so many factors that count if you want to compare drivers.

How impressive to think that this team came from Force India, to Racing Point, and now Aston Martin. How amazing to see what this team has been able to accomplish under the Strolls. Of course, watching Alonso race is an absolute pleasure. What an amazing driver. This was such an exciting race, for old and new fans of F1. I found a love for this sport by watching the first season of Drive to Survive. It's a reality show that made me obsessed with these amazing drivers. They're all extremely talented and it's so hard watching races because you're literally rooting for them all. But in all reality, I'm absolutely obsessed with Alonso and his racing career now. What an amazing driver. I was so happy to see him return with Alpine. Now he's with Aston Martin, showing the beast that he is. What a phenomenal driver, and he's proving that this season already. Okay. I'm done now :D

The team was P4 in Force India time. When Lawrence picked up the team they knew they needed to fight in the front to keep the team afloat so they bought crucial information from Mercedes. Racing point then kept fighting for good points. But after the protest they lost all the good things about their car and lost quite a bit of pace in 2020 and 2021. 2022 was an off year as it was the first time for them to make a car from scratch. But old habits die hard, they kept making cars similar to winning teams and arrived at this monster

Totally agree with your comment. Personally I've also been thinking that Alonso must be getting some Canadian bonus money from some kind of "mentoring" of Lance and no doubt that Lance Stroll will have all Alonso's data to learn from and I could somehow imagine a situation where Fernando would be really teaching Lance by comparing their lap datas where he can improve. The whole mixup is pretty clever from the team and of course there's much we don't know. Sad thing is that money plays here but... well, look at Alonso, he deserved to get driving fast car enough to challenge Mercedes and Ferrari and take that podium after all his patience but still full love for the racing all these years.

Daddy’s cash is actually turning into something worthwhile; turning a midfield team into the training ground for his son to cultivate that racer and a possible winning team for legends. And Stroll’s been in the points and podium without any kind of help tbh. He just might be able to drive a car, can’t lie. Is a one two possible? If the car is fast enough, we might be able to see attempts. But I think we should keep our eyes on Lance (never thought I’d say that)

Vettels and Stolls data from last year helped Fernando get the win here.Also Lance just had surgery, what a beast! Ive only known a handful of people to drive like that, Alex was in a coma last year and drove days after and Lauda soon after his crash. Dif sport but VR46 raced a month after breaking his leg. A testament to Lances dedication to the team and F1. Aston is 🔥 this year, reminds me of when Force India was battling a few seasons ago.

His sector time’s consistently improved from Q1 thru Q3. He finished P6 splitting the Mercs. He was investigated for FA contact and no penalty as racing incident at the start. Agreed. If he could’ve known beforehand just how competitive this year’s car would be, I think there’s a good chance that he would’ve stuck around for at least one more year. I appreciate that he was looking forward to being able to spend more time with his family, but when he admitted that he wouldn’t mind if a team was ever to invite him back to drive at his favorite circuit, I could see that there was a part of him that still wanted to be out there competing. All we can do is hope that he is still happy with his decision regardless of how good the car goes this year. And, we can’t forget that Seb did win 4 titles, so it’s kinda hard to be angry at Fernando’s good fortune when he’s only got 2.

Hey I can't blame them! It's nothing short of impressive. I am a red bull fan but even I was breaking a sweat seeing him gaining 3 seconds on Perez in the last 10 laps. We have to realise that Aston Martin are among the big fish this season. Should they keep this pace they will outperform Ferrari (if they keep blundering) and mercedes as we have seen. Had Alonso done better at quali, we would not have had a 26 second gap between second and third I am certain of it.
