I can't explain how happy I am to see Alonso back where he belongs after all these years. He's been my favourite driver since before his first World Championship and it's been very trying to see him struggling in poor equipment over the years. So happy that his move to Aston is working out!

I am and always be a Schumacher fan, and of course in the past Alonso was not close to my soul, BUT I am so happy to see him now. He really enjoys his amazing fairytale, has the experience, has the maturity and he has the talent. Good for him. Hope he'll finish 3rd this championship. Congrats!

Same. I even hope he gets a couple of wins. I hated him in 2005/06 for the undeserved titles but he suffered long enough, spent his bad karma and it is time for redemption.

I agree with Alonso here, the FIA is really becoming more of a joke each race. There is absolutely no consistancy in their penalty system. I've been watching F1 since Schumacher started at Benneton and am still confused about the rules and how they are applied. I feel they have overcomplicated the rules so much nowadays and need to move to a far more easier and clear rule system on track.

Despite being an Avid Fernando Alonso patron, I firmly believe that he had missed the trick on race day in Saudi GP, as soon as the safety car mulled in Alonso should've pushed the hard tyre to maximum limits and he should've stretched the lead over George Russell in P4 by further few seconds down the road easily. Rather Alonso being Alonso, as he played the numbers game, whilst insisting that he was told by Aston Martin to manage the race on HARD tyre? It just doesn't add up and now he has lost the place from rostrum, perhaps due to his insouciant approach during the race post SC

He got P3 back.Aand if they see that he can not get to the redbulls and he is not at risk, Why push? it's a long championship with a lot of races, managing mechanical wear is very important. I do not think it was a bad decision by the team

@@axelmaze9961 Possibly mate, however the tyre Degradation at Jeddah Street asphalt was absolutely Null for almost all the 10 teams this race weekend. With that being the case, why someone or Alonso should nurse his hard tyres all the way to 🏁 by just driving to the car delta, rather than pushing hard to pump in fast laps? Both Red Bulls were pushing each other to the finest limits throughout the race and it was lot more enjoyable to watch, in the end Verstappen 1:31:901 was jus fantabulous
