This is such a great clip! My family and Barbara’s were neighbors in Jackson Heights, Queens in the late ‘40s. They were a wonderful family. Her father, Howie, was a NYC Police Officer.

I must have been but a wee lad of 4 years or so, but I remember being absolutely mesmerized by that movie and watching it many times over. Something about it spoke to me on a deep level and l can still remember the way I connected with the concepts, as though there were events I remembered from an even earlier time... Could it have been prior to my birth? Perhaps a past life, or another plane of existence? Or maybe just a dream. So bizarre! Things that make you go hmmm.... 🤔

I was 18 in 1975, so I’ve seen SNL since the first episode and this was probably the cast that saved the show after the Not Ready for Prime Time cast moved on.

I'm a 68-yr-old hippie desperately trying to stay hip, even though I am feeling my age with arthritis and other physical deficits. But dammit,....I DO look mahvelous! Billy Crysyal is so talented....and still looks mahvelous!

For reasons I can't fathom, I suddenly remembered this character and the "marvelous" bit. This was one of the big things of the 1980s. 30, 40 years later, and I can't tell you why.

I saw the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson the night Fernando Lamas was on and said to Johnny, “ You know I don’t feel so good, but I look Mavahlus.” One of the funniest things I’ve seen, but Fernando had cancer, Billy Crystal turned it into a skit character.

Billy's good on the improv - but Martin Short beats him hands down with Jiminy Glick. Billy almost talked himself into a corner with the VCR non-gags, and I'm surprised that Ringo (the Goofy One) couldn't help him out more.
