Pretty funny video. But honesty, thinking about Torres is just depressing. As a Chelsea fan watching him was physically painful, even when he was playing well something was just off. He wasn't a Falcao (genuine spent force), you could tell he was still the player he was at Liverpool (and we saw it in flashes), but I've never seen a player so badly affected by a mistake in my life. All it took was a heavy touch, a misplaced pass, a wayward shot - and his confidence would be shot for the rest of the match. And worst of all you could see it all over his face, he had no fucking idea what was wrong or how to fix it. I'll always support him, very likeable guy, but so glad he got the move to Atletico. Both of us better off for it.
@HHHBFResurrected7 жыл бұрын
***** Nah it goes beyond that. For some reason, his injury just before the 2010 World Cup completely killed his self belief. I can't speak for his form at AC or Atletico, but at Chelsea we tried everything to accommodate him. Numerous formations, signed a ton of no.10s, played short, played direct, brought in Benitez as manager. Looking back no-one can say we didn't try, and frankly I can't say Torres didn't either, he just wasn't the same player. Period.
@HHHBFResurrected7 жыл бұрын
Would be interesting to know in hindsight whether he regretted the move or not. He joined us to win the CL and did accomplish that + always maintained how grateful he was for our support in extremely testing circumstances. You get the impression his heart was still at Liverpool though. Well we can both be happy for him at Atletico I guess lol

Can't wait for his autobiography when he admits leaving Liverpool was the worst decision of his life
@Ofenomeno9410 жыл бұрын
mistake? he was a role on winning the Champions League which he would've never won with Liverpool, he won the FA Cup just with one season with Chelsea at the same time. and now he's in the Semi-final in the Champions League. a mistake? i don't think so. he may never be the same but he's still a threatening striker and is enjoying his successful life at Chelsea, something he would've had to wait years before experiencing it at Liverpool.
@danno1no210 жыл бұрын
O Fenemeno yeah I remember him playing a pivotal role in that champions league pfttt and trying to justify he's any good or ever been good make you look like a fool. Stats don't lie so please come back when your heads out your ass dumb dumb!
@danno1no210 жыл бұрын
O Fenemeno 'He's still a threatening striker and enjoying a successful life at Chelsea' that's one of the dumbest statements I've ever read. Did u ask him personally if he is enjoying life there? Not scoring week in week out while the pressure mounts, woahh really enjoying himself #idiot
@Ofenomeno9410 жыл бұрын
Misfitstrio182 clearly you don't know much about football so it would be a waste of time trying to educate such a feeble brain. If pundits including Jamie Carragher talk about Torres being a dangerous striker in European matches then you should really look yourself in the mirror and re-think about your stupid hateful comment. stats aren't everything, if it was Frank Lampard would be better than Zidane,Iniesta,Xavi and Scholes. so you know, Iniesta gets 9-10 assists a season, yet he's Barcelona and Spain's key man, despite both teams have players that assist double the amount Iniesta gets. no i didn't ask him personally but if you open his instagram you'll see nothing but smiles and joy at life at such a big club. the pressure is long gone, he's getting paid decent money, he's playing in the Champions League and competing to win it. why wouldn't he be enjoying life at the Bridge? while you hate, he's earning your annual salary in a day or two, winning domestic trophies, as well as playing alongside the best English team in the Champions League

I never felt Torres was over rated. He was the best striker and he still is a good one. He looked broken when that streak of misses was haunting him. It happens with the best of players. And with the strongest of human beings. I really dislike the way football fans look at torres because of his phase at chelsea. Though i am a Man utd fan, i have a huge amount of respect for torres. He pretty much filled the void for pool after owen left which many other couldn't. We shouldnt be so quick to judge a player as a failure. Everybody goes through these phases. who are we on youtube to judge him. Look at him. The lad is a hero he is fighting each day to become a better player. I hope he comes back in form. For all those who think he wouldn't or he can't i pity your way of thinking more than i pity torres. Best wishes to Fernando torres.
@shoaga058 жыл бұрын
we have been like so so many years saying the same. "Torres was the best", "we need to believe on him"... but actually he played in a hight level just a year and then no more. He never returned... and ive been waiting for him all this time... in his football team and also in spanish national team. He has been playing with spain during lot of time in a very bad condition while there have been strikers in a better condition than him. You cant say a player is amazing if he has payed 1 year in a good level and then like 5 years or more without doing a shit... even if he got injured. Lots of players get injured and if they dont do it well they just stop playing. Torres for mr and for a lot of people is a big lie.

All you did in this video was to speak negative towards Torres performance as a player. As any other pro soccer/futbol player, they go through tough moments, obstacles and make mistakes like every human being. You can't expect him to be a perfectionist since it seems like thats the world you live on. "Torres will never be the same" really??.... Maybe so, but he'll just get better and better as a striker. These are the type of things that people do to show a wrong impression of players to the public fans. "If there always be a place in your heart for Torres" maybe you need to show him appreciation and support him in the good and bad moments. This video reminds me of "Media" all they do is grab bits and clips of all the bad things that are happening in the world and give a bad impression so people can get the wrong idea of other countries. -Add Value. -Appreciate. -Be a Real Fan.

Fernando Torres - the most dissapointing player in football history. He went from being a world class striker to a 50 million flop. How ironic. It's ok Fernando Torres is n absolute world class player at liver pool at Chelsea at atlectico better than all the haters his move to atlectico was good he was a starter 15-16 season very good player I was kinda sad when he lost his spot to gameiro in 16-17 season but has good I was also sad when I thought he died I was also sad when he lost champions league final It was heart touching when he brought his kids on the pitch I was also sad that he's getting old n this is his last season at atlectico Torres u r one of my favorite players stay strong n stay in form I wish u many seasons

I love Torres I don't care if he performed bad in Chelsea but tbh I likes that he tried and gave his 110% and for that I respect him hope he finds some of his Liverpool form in Milan and comeback to Chelsea a new forward

He didn't feel confident in a Chelsea shirt , add on that the miss against United, just took his confidence away . But he still managed to be an influential player for Chelsea, even though his goal rate was down, he still brought a lot of energy on the pitch and scored very important goals at crucial times

He still scored the equalizer with Barça and also won the corner that Drogba converted in the final, so money well spent. Also scored in the Europa final too

His footballing life is a lesson for all upcoming football superstars.After his move to CFC, he was never the player he was at ANFIELD.But I must laud him for his ability to not allow all this to cripple him as a person and I hope his contribution to the game of football is not forgotten.I came to this video after watching his exploits at LFC and therefore I must say it is disheartening to watch.
