As a resident of Ferndale, the city has quite a bit to offer and you are close to Detroit and the north cities, which they too have a lot to offer. Ferndale police and fire are one of the reasons I moved here as they are quick responding and have an established presence in the city. My recommendation would be for the city to enforce ordinances for both residence and businesses, and while the downtown proper is kept very well, the outer areas don't seem to get the attention they need.

@@LIVINGINDETROIT Just walking downtown with my German Shepherds, the town is very welcoming and the people are friendly, with dog-friendly businesses. I enjoy getting a cocktail at Rustbelt and doing some shopping there. There are so many great places to dine it is hard to pick just one and the night lift is fun and casual. Como's has a large patio, which is nice to hang out at and they have quite a few events there. The town host art fairs and festivals that are always a good time. It is really an enjoyable smaller town.

I moved to Ferndale in 1983. I've seen a lot of changes. All for the better. I'll never sell my home.

I live in Detroit....Midtown. Love Ferndale!! But, i cant watch this video because for some reason the person talking is moving his arms way too much. I'm trying to hear what he is saying but his arms are distracting.
