A great surprise to see some early Jim Varney. The three of them are having a great time doing the bit. They work well together. We were so lucky to have all this in our lives.

This is one of the shows… Probably the main show that really taught me -as a young teenager -about satire. You had people like Martin Mull. Fred Willard, Harry Shearer, and here we have Jim Varney ..it all helped contribute to my sense of humor. Which, not surprisingly, has got me into trouble on countless occasions. Not because I’m a mean person, but because I learned advanced satirical humor from the masters. And I tend to overestimate people. And these days, people really are that wacky. If you were young, and found this by accident… Please just watch more of it. You’ll thank me. And RIP, Fred, and Martin.😊

Good God! I didn't recognize Jim Varney till about 2 minutes into the video. Man what a comedian... He's been gone quite a while now, and Martin Mull as just left us too... time flies and I don't think I like it too much.

Same here. Time flew Fred Willard away about 4 years ago. I was pretty pissed at it then too.

Just wanted to pass along something about "Virgil Simms" 0:16 Jim Varney; He'd show up at Children's Hospitals, no Press, no fee. Jim would entertain the sick or injured children for more than an hour. Just being silly and very funny. Real good guy.

I remember pissing off my dad when I was a teen, talking him into checking out Fernwood 2Night (I think it was midnight TV at the time), and the night he decided to give it a see, was this episode. A week later he called and cussed me out because he wasn't getting enough sleep, now hooked on the show.

The irony here, is this is what, generally speaking, happened to the Chevy Bolt. It has been in recall over battery issues ever since it rolled off the assembly line.
