That's a highly argentinian slang expression as well as the way that she said it. It literally means: "I ate ('morfar' means to eat, especially in a hearty, voracious or gluttonous manner) that book in an hour". In English it'd be something like "finish reading a book in a very passionate and (therefore) rapid way". Idk the verb (if there's one) that it's used for "morfar".

Efectivamente. Una de las características de cualquier lengua es que posea variedades geográficas independientemente del país en el que se hable. Es tan español el que se habla en la zona rioplatense como el que se habla en Galicia o en Guinea Ecuatorial. Ocurre lo mismo con el inglés: de Escocía, de Irlanda, de la India, de Australia, de Estados Unidos, de Sudáfrica… un saludo y gracias por comentar.
