The 4 best Ferrari ever made on the same video. You only forgot to mention the engine was developed from a Group C unit that the Lancia Ferrari LC2 used on Le Mans. It has nothing to do with the original 288 GTO unit. And it can go up to 800 Hp plus, and still be relianle to run for 24 Hours, which is why its so easy to tune the F40 to many more than 480 Hp, without losing too much reliability.

Actually, Materazzi developped the LC2 based on the F114CK which is the 288 GTO motor 😉

fortunately for these cars (GTO, GTO Evo & F40) FIAT had no involvement. Enzo Ferrari gave Nicola Materazzi "carte blanche" and that is why the cars are now so legendary. I hope that anyone interested in the car will understand more about it when they read about Materazzi's life and projects: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicola_Materazzi When you understand that this man was quasi-fanatical about racing and performance cars and stayed up at night to design the F40 gearbox or solve countless problems, you see why the cars are so minimalistic. Every gram was removed (within the budget of Ferrari at the time: the company did not have the money to go all-out like McLaren did with the F1).

La F40 del video è una delle qualche serie-zero con la potenza a 620 bhp ?
I do not believe it!! How does it get an Evolution GTO if there are only 2? Are they just 2? One is at the Ferrari museum ...

Why would play back ground music while the car was on track and meant to give you a high of the engine note, it deceived the purpose of enjoying exhaust notes. Shame

"Lightweight" just refers to non US cars.....

The first production F40 were even lighter than the subsequent models. Fixed lexan windows, even lighter structural details. In total, various kilograms ligher than the subsequent regular Euro F40 cars

Andrea Bindolini The F40 Prototype was a Lightweight model as well, only because it was practically the interior taken from the 288 GTO Evoluzione.
