Good video. As a 360 owner I agree with everything said. I would add, ask for and go through all the records for the car. If the owner does not have records, or they appear to be kind of sketchy, I would have reservation about the car, or be prepared to pay after you buy the car. Do not skip on the annual inspection by a qualified Ferrari mechanic, i.e. someone who has worked on Ferrari's for ten to thirty years. Mine saved my ass twice by finding small leaks in the fuel pumps. Take the car for a test run. These cars run better when warmed up, so run the car long enough to get it hot. Buy a Granite Battery Tender, and have a Ferrari mechanic connect it to the positive and negative lugs behind the driver seat. Run it a couple of hours a day. Last but not least, these cars are not cheap to own. My advice is after purchase, have at least $10K in your back pocket to pay for surprises you might get during you ownership. During my ownership of my 360 I never got over the thrill when I opened the door to my garage, and saw that yellow emblem on my car. I do not think any of us get over that thrill. Good luck, and happy driving.

Excellent video. Agree with everything said. I have owned a 2001 F! 360 for ten years. Just sold it in August. Things I might add. Records, hopefully you can find the records for the car you might be interesting in buying from new to the present date. I have record many tales of woe from a new owner who has purchased a 360 with no records. That usually happens when the new owner starts to run into a problem with a no record car. Reason for no records, the owner found out what it cost for repairs was and could not afford them, So repairs were skipped. During a test drive try to drive the car until the engine oil is up to temperature. These cars drive better when the engine oil is hot. During your ownership you will probably have need to have work done on it. My advice, take it to a Ferrari shop, i.e. a Ferrari shop, is a shop where you walk in and only see Ferrari's, and the people working in the shop have 10 to 30 years of experience working on Ferrari's. A lesson I learned the hard way. I let my son-in-law drive my car. He had never driven a Ferrari. That lesson cost me $15K. Never ever let anyone drive your, except your mechanic. you can save lots of money by not buying a Ferrari, but then you will never have the feeling you feel, when you go into your garage, see that yellow emblem on the hood of your Ferrari. And realize, ITS MINE.

what was the lesson exactly that cost you 15k? why was the fact he never had driven a ferrari an issue? after all, anyone who wants to own a ferrari will at one point drive one for the first time..

Dont be dump...he never stated that noylt driving a ferrari is a *problem*, he just warned us that if u bought a ferrari by your own money never let aomeone elss drive it cause it will cost alot if he crashed it, crashing it by your own is a thing and others carshing your car is a whole diffrent story@@AB-sr9mc

Please add that most 355 360 430 Ferraris have the leaky plastic Fuel Pump hats that degrade. Very expensive and replacement could prevent a costly fire or total loss of the car or life. Look for fuel smells near the exhaust manifold area.

That’s a very good point, the leaks that develop at the top of the plastic fuel pumps due to age related cracking that cause fires. If you get a strong smell of fuel you should stop driving immediately

This logo on front wings have all 360,? Or need pay in factory extra ?
@rcclassicgarage2 ай бұрын
These logos or “Scuderia Shields” were an upgrade when ordering the car new from the factory, they cost around £8k extra at the time. They require different fenders because the shield is recessed into the metal. If the car originally did not get the upgrade, some people put stickers on the fender which is not correct.

What is the model of that radio/headunit, is that from a f430?
@rcclassicgarage Жыл бұрын
Hi Dimitriy, it’s a Becker Cascade head unit, I think model BE7944 and was standard on the 360, it’s still the original unit

@@rcclassicgarage hmm maybe you guys got a different one in Europe, that one looks like the one we got on the F430.

still worth to buy? if so, F430 and 360 which one is better?? F1 is also fine? or manual is much better to maintain?
@rcclassicgarage Жыл бұрын
Yes I am very happy with the purchase I made, I bought the 360 in 2020 and it’s been great! I did consider a 430 but I figured the 360 was at the bottom of the depreciation curve and should go up in value (which is has in the last 3 years). The 430 has an advantage of less maintenace due to not needing the cambelt change every 3 years. I like the F1 as you can drive the car in auto mode or F1 depending on how you feel and it’s awesome! I have never had to do a clutch yet so not sure how maintenance compares to a manual.

Haha - nothing makes you feel better than a drive in a Ferrari - although a Ford Escort mk1 is a great little car
