Jean Alesi + Ferrari V12 a combination made in heaven. V12 engines always sounded so much better. Only 6 cylinders come close to them. This is how a F1 should sound like. Happy days.

Always a pleasure to watch these vids. Jean Alesi was my favourite F1 driver as a kid and him winning Montreal in '95 (albeit with the T2 and not the T1 shown here) was the greatest day. Also me and my old man did RC car racing and I just had to have a Tamiya 1/10 model of this. Good memories. What's also interesting is if you compare this sound to that of the later F1s up to 2013 (before they got quieter), it's a more 'layered' sound. To music geeks it's like there's a 5th and a lower octave in there somewhere. Beautiful. My parents couldn't afford to take me to an F1 race so I never got to experience the sounds in all their deafening glory.

Actually the car on the video is not the 412T2. Check it's nose! It is no doubt about that, the 412T1. The T2 has it more curvy!

+ferrari2k yup. The high-nosed car is a T1 or T1B with the 3.5 litre V12, the round nose is the awesome T2 with the 3.0 litre V12. I'm not a Ferrari racing fan but these cars make a much better noise than the current-spec cars.

Michael Schumacher drove this car after the 95 season for testing and the new F310 with the V10 engine He was over 1s faster with that v12 car than Alesi and Berger . I dont get it ,why Ferrari decided to use a new V10 engine :(

I can't find the results, but I somehow remember it differently, that the results of the 1. testing were very similar to those in the 95 season, Alesi in Benetton being 0,5s quicker than Schumacher in the Ferrari. That was in general the difference between Benetton and Ferrari in the previous season.

After its first ride, Schumacher was affraid how Alesi and Berger could be so fast with a such backback (he was speaking about the V12 heavy weight). At its very first ride with the B195, Alesi was explode the Schumacher Best time... But Impossible to conclude anything: tarmac temperature has a huge impact on lap time... And more, Schumacher was not known for its top speed dixit Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.
