We’ve only been going a year, gtb5 so I guess it’s early days. Plus we have a number of factors that limit our appeal on YT - a) we’re old, b) not dynamic, c) not trendy, d) we don’t say everything’s brilliant, e) we only do 1 vid a week, f) we don’t do click bait, and g) we don’t play Fortnite 😀 . On the plus side, all our subscribers are awesome level-headed, constructive, petrolheads. So it’s a pleasure to interact with them everyday

I like the tuning on the exhaust to complement the turbo. The open valve mod is definitely a must though.

Great reviews guys. I currently own a 991.1 GTS and a Golf R for the daily commute and thinking of changing the GTS for something like a 458 or a 570GT as I didn’t get a GT3 allocation and not willing to pay a premium to a speculator. Any thoughts would be really appreciated as you have experience of both cars, albeit in different forms.

Hi Gareth - I’d take the 458 over the McLaren, but they are different prospects. The McLaren is likely to be the closest to your 991 - refined, minimalist interior, lots of torque. The 458 is a wilder stallion -with an engine note to die for and sublime handling. And the 458 May now actually appreciate whereas the 570 will not . The Speciale is 25% better in all respects but £200k dearer. So for me it’s 458 all the way

Brakes great, yea. The lag doesn't seem apparent to me - seems almost non-existent. Still trying to adjust to the short shifting as it's so quick to get to red line.

Yea I'd be the same, but sadly I could never imagine buying a car of that cost! Yea think £450k is OP for that. I'd say the mid three hundreds is OK....BTW know you're not a Mclaren Fan boy, but not considered the 600LT? That looks a beast and takes inspiration from the 918 on the rear exhausts!

I can’t say that’s very likely though...Had fun the other day, my daughter arranged for a tour of Jay Leno’s Garage..She knows People..The type of People I don’t know..if I could pick just one of the 185 cars we saw it would have to be the McLaren F1..Very eclectic collection, 2 nice corvairs ..It was a really great experience although I’m not really sure how big of a car guy I am.... The most exited I got was when I found out they had free Yoo-hoo chocolate drinks...Perhaps you could branch out into food and drink reviews..

Thanks guys my conclusion same, I test drove the 488 GTB And when I went down to see Sam at Meridian I test drove the 458 spider not to buy just test drive, ahhhhhhh I left with a 190k hole in my pocket, what an amazing car, did Goodwood last weekend again fab on track so different to my old 570 s and only had 5 months and gone up 10 k now So very happy with my choice White 458 spider 2014 plate Carbon every ware. Keep it up. Great video.

I am sorry, but there is just nothing I agree with your review. You almost sound like it is a crime to own a supercar in the UK and you are rating how great the car is because its design is understated? Those kinds of comments just make you sound completely Ferrari-biased. Also, what is the deal that you cannot have a Lamborghini in more subtle colours? You mean you have never seen a charcoal Huracan or Aventador? Really? Check out the clip from the link below, that's a charcoal Huracan in silver rims (not even black rims). Is that subtle enough for you? Furthermore, none of you even addressed how the 488 has zero sound. The car is turbocharged and it honestly sounds pretty shite if I am being polite especially when you compare it to a Lambo. Oh and the Pista? If you are expecting a Speciale-like car as it was to the 458, then you are guaranteed to be disappointed. Hi Alex, if you’d bothered to research our channel before making these comments then you’d realise we own a 488, 458 and a Performante. So I’d say we’re in a pretty good position to compare them and justify our statements. We do say the 488 doesn’t sound as good as a 458 but it’s nowhere near as bad as everyone thought the turbo-charged cars would be.
