Ferrari and Chinook start up in the paddock at 2019 Edmonton Castrol Raceway NASCC WCMA. It takes a while for the Ferrari to get it going but well worth the wait.

I went to the 1971 can am at Mont Tremblant. Stewart won it in an L&M Lola. Revson and Hulme were in the M8Fs. Jackie Oliver in the Shadow. Been in love with motor racing ever since

Can-Am racing was the best series ever. I chased them anywhere within a 12-hour drive of Toronto. We got 2 races a year here at the old Mosport track. My favourite track was Mont Tremblant up in Quebec. The cars were monstrous. loud and unbelievably fast. Eventually, the Bruce and Denny show with their great cast of international drivers like Dan Gurney and Chris Amon was destroyed by the stupendous and stupid spending by Porsche. Total shame.

the 917 was a le mans car modified for can am. so what stupid spending are you talking about. the main reason porsche won was it had turbo charging and the opposition did not. also due to being in a series with heavy restrictions previously, the car was optimized throughout for weight savings, and the flat 12 gave it a low centre of gravity
