I truly enjoy Harris' reviews and this one is no exception. He actually gives meaningful insights, not just opinionated bluster :D I find it hard to believe this is the same guy who slagged Ferrari a couple of months ago with that "How Ferrari Spins" piece, but if it is him, it's a real shame that this is probably the last Ferrari review we'll ever see him do.

Clarkson and Chris is apples and oranges. This is a real review, Top Gear is about blokes and comedy. I wouldn't be able to drive this car, Chris can. If I had a choice between this and a GTB, I'd get the GTB, because of that. Fantastic review - a glimpse into the other side.

This car really needs to be added to the FIA GT1 for 2011.... This car is the great grandson of the Testarossa... (The Miami Vice Testarossa).. which then became the 550 Maranello, then the 575... both of which have a huge racing career with Prodrive and other teams.. After the 575M.... we have the lovely 599 Fiorano... 599GTO. This car would totaly revive the GT1 class for Le Mans.

Comes across as really intimidating, which is maybe as it should be. It just looks way too fast for Fiorano, although im sure it would be the same on Monza. I think they're getting close to what you can do with rubber, tarmac and a combustion engine, just in terms of grip and power delivery. I love it and its probably the best GT were going to see for at least another 10 years or so, but I cant help thinking something this mental should be in a Hypercar shell, rather than a GT. Roll on the F-70

I dont think you can take them literaly, I am not sure that show was created for analytical study of cars, just more about a fun show.. nothing more. Chris is actually reviewing the car, plain and simple.. You do have to admit.. seeing the STIG in action is great fun!

@buttnut1080 "458 Scuderia"? Ferrari havent even said they will make a 'Scuderia' version of the 458 Italia (though they probably will). The GT2 RS has over 600 horsepower and is the fastest road car that Porsche have ever made (yes quicker than the Carrera GT). Wouldnt it make sense to compare the fastest Porsche with the fastest Ferrari and Lamborghini road cars ever made?

...After reading his rant about Ferrari's rules in testing their cars, I feel quite sick of Ferrari & somehow I started to hate Ferrari now. Like I said, I thought Ferraris are fast & should win drag races most of the times...but that's not the case in many drag videos posted here in KZbin where Ferraris always play second fiddle to Porsche & usually on par with Lambo. Seeing Ferraris racing against tuned cars is even more painful to see...that sometimes I don't even bother to watch them.
