yes. they are carbon brakes. they work best under optimal temperatures. and they have to keep the brakes hot for maximum braking efficiency.

I've thought long and hard about how even the old Alfa's, flawed, temperamental, and unpredictable as they were... WERE STILL ABLE TO GET UNDER YOUR SKIN, AND GET YOU TO LOVE THEM, LIKE NO OTHER. It just doesn't make sense... But then why should it, how could it? The Italians have the unique ability to infuse a soul into machinery. Others have come close, but not quite.
