Great video. Nothing to be scared of. Thank you! Dealers generally suck so this is great.

I also think you can put a lot more care into it since I'm not getting paid per the job like a dealer would. Either way, I love working on cars, especially mine LOL

you're not incorrect on your oil dripping through the engine theory. in fact my GTI daily requires you to wait at least 10-15 minutes per FSM to check the oil after driving it so all the oil can get into the pan and provide an accurate reading. thus, if you park after a drive, and don't move the car, it'll all be in there waiting for you to set it free. well not completely free, that's horrible for the environment but...well hell you know. ;)

Thanks. I’m going to try taking care of it next change on mine. Damn, Ferrari charges a lot for maintenance. By the way, what exhaust have you got on that? It sounds amazing. I’m still totally stock.
@ExoticCarDIY Жыл бұрын
You can do it. take your time, enjoy it. The only issue I ran into but covered in the video was the oil filter was wayyy over tightened by whoever did it before, had to get creative to remove it. There is no need to crank it down like that. I'm running the kline exhaust. If you go to my channel home page, you'll find my 430 playlist. There's a dozen or so videos there, many on the exhaust setup.

@@ExoticCarDIY That’s awesome. The 430 is probably the best choice of Ferrari models to do DIY vids on. It’s sort of a middle of the road Ferrari that lots of guys (like me) can afford, yet would rather not have to drop ten grand every time it needs something done/ lots of them were made/ 360 owners can benefit as well effectively increasing viewership. Nice job man!

Everything can be DIY, fluid obviously quite easy, eventually I'll be doing the bigger jobs as it needs them, like clutch etc
@Nb61777 Жыл бұрын
@@ExoticCarDIY the bother I have is Ferrari OEM parts are expensive. That clutch runs big $ but also doesn’t last long. Do you think everything can be bought aftermarket for cheaper and more durable pieces?
@johnforeman634 Жыл бұрын
@@Nb61777there’s a video called “Huge Ferrari/Maserati clutch savings”. Channel is VelocityAP. I might look into that when the time comes.

Haha. I see you didn’t put the torque numbers on the description
@ExoticCarDIY Жыл бұрын
Ya, sorta intentional. Quite simply, the tq specs in the manual are wrong. it says 75nm (55ft/lbs) for the drain plugs. You will rip out all your threads well before 75nm. Most people recommend about 40nm or even better, a "mechanics touch" I just added this note now to the description
