Probably you didn't know. Production cars take many innovations from racing cars, that's why manufacturers invest in sports cars. That's why Renault started Formula E. Not only for fun, but for electric car development. So, I see no real reason to end Formula E. It's also more fun then Formula 1, where there are 3 teams that are way ahead of the rest.

It's actually quite an unfair test; the Formula E blocks his wheels and even turns too sharp in the last hairpin, causing a tiny collision. These errors costs a few tenths of a second, so the Formula E car misses around a second. Enough for the F1 to pass, otherwise the F1 wouldn't pass at all.

What make it boring for me is the very narrow circuits in formula E. Lets hope the day they reach respectable speeds they move to real racetracks. In its current state still much better to watch than modern F1 where 1 team dominates always since 2009.

FE is far more entertaining despite the difference of power with F1. Actual battles on the track, it's refreshing. Let's just hope that as it progresses, it does not do the same as modern F1 with said one-team domination.

Making speakers that replicate the sound properly would just be incredibly heavy and why would the teams spend all the time and money in advanced audio technology doing so. Only fans are interested in sound, most people who watch Formula E like being topical and pretentious and “educated” more than actually liking cars. I admit that theoretically electric cars are “better” than petrol. But that doesn’t mean I’m an idiot for preferring petrol. Formula E is like a vegetarian Formula 1.

gfh When FE is your kinda sports, good for you, but not everybody is so excited about it than you might be. Me, for example, i am more into the technical side of things and F1 always was, and is, a constructors championship and from this perspective F1 is far more interesting and exciting for me. Build the fastest car for every track, drivers come and drivers go. FE lacks any kind of technical challenge for a team, because everything is the same.

Honestly, only thing holding formula E back is the heavy weight of the batteries. But the 2022 regulations promises to change that. Power increase from 250kw(335hp) to 350kw(470hp), higher regen braking power which lead to smaller lighter batteries that are around a hundred kilograms lighter

Firemarioflower idgaf how slow they are. At least there's competition involved in Formula E, F1 is trash. The cars are way too wide. So passing is even harder. The aerokit is garbage (at least it's getting better next year). And the tracks are really fucking terrible as far as overtaking
