Moveover Andbark - I severely doubt that Karun Chandhok is dangerous to anyone on a race track. Whilst he's far from the best, he's still better than 99.99999% of drivers out there. You don't get to drive a racing car with that level of performance by being shit. The talent, physical fitness, mental toughness and extraordinary reflexes to drive an F1 car are truly immense. Most people if they were a passenger in such a car would likely be violently sick after just one lap let alone after 60-70 laps of driving one!

haz 991 all drivers at F1 level are able to control all sorts of cars and also play around with them. You should go watch some videos with Lewis, Fernando, Kimi etc. roaring around some tracks in street cars.... That shows some proper talent! Chris Harris is a journalist and shows better car control in his videos.. Money can buy you a lot, but sadly for Karun, not talent. Nico3644 Im sure many F1 drivers can drift road cars, but you dont have to be good at drifting to be good at racing, they are very different things! Kimi raikkonen is a great racing driver, but he was not as sucsessful in WRC rally. You probably have to be very good at drifting to be sucsessful in rally! haz 991 you have absolutely no idea what you talking about...its more then clear that you have never driven a rwd car through a corner at anything above 200kph before....knowing how to drift is a MUST to control any rwd car at speed....anyone that has driven a fairly powerful rwd car at a corner at 200+kph with all the aids turned off and full gas will know what i am talking about...you HAVE to know how to drift even if the isnt actually drifting..or better saying (so that obtuse people that have no idea wont start yelling at me now): you have to know at least the concept of the "drifting-control" theorie in order to accomplish a corner at that speed with a rwd...as i said, even if the car is not drifting, you will have to "correct" it as if it was drifting...just grab a powefull (+250hp) rwd car, turn all the electronic aids off, get it to about 200+kph and hit a fairly tight corner...then tell me what happened...

You'll have to dig through Chris's career for exact dates but he drove a GT3 RS 911 in 2010 or 2011 N24, Im sure the team came 3rd over all and 1st in class, with Chris as the Journo invited driver, I think the GT12 Aston was 2014/2015 time.

Even though both cars are V12 "GTs," they were built for completely different purposes, so I don't think its fair to say one is far superior than the other. I will agree that Ferrari's heritage might be a bit more "prestigious", if you will, but to descredit Aston's is laughable at best.

The car is fine, they just can't drift. Also, the torque won't make the car out of control but power does. More torque will keep the car sliding but more power will spin the tire faster and cause massive power oversteer.

I'm used to watching your footages and I appreciate them quite a lot but, to be honesti, I don't understand the gist of this type of challenge at all. It seems to me frankly obvious that two cars like these shouldn't be driven that way..... Don't treat Ferrari or Aston Martin like those absurd american cars seen in Fast and Furious. Weird how many people are brown nosing Chris Harris on this page... like if you fancy him that much then just watch his channel all day! lol Fact is drifting a 700+bhp rear drive car on a wet track is tricky business. The Aston probably is the more controllable and friendly of the two on the limit, even though it would never keep up with the F12 in ideal conditions. Probably just as well given how much rain we get in the UK!

Mark Scott Yes, he did drift it flawlessly...on a BONE DRY TRACK, hence smoking the tyres! I sometimes wonder if most of the people who comment on these videos even have driving licenses. Anybody with any driving experience knows the handling, traction and braking characteristics of a car are vastly different on wet vs dry surfaces. Especially with powerful cars like this. Can't believe people are seemingly unaware of that and expecting identical results in different conditions.
