this is a from of mentorship. Denis is from my neck of the woods, and I have loved him since Polytechnique. I'm also smitten with Adam Driver. If the 2 work together... I I will be happy.

There was this one time where Chris Nolan was a host to the anniversary post-screening discussions for Heat. It seems like there's a huge admiration towards Mann among some of the current generation of filmmakers. I'm not surprised that Villeneuve would volunteer for this, his films definitely have aspects that directly call back to Mann.

Is Denis any relation to Gilles Villeneuve, another French Canadian who drove for Ferrari in F1 in the early '80s whose son Jacques. become F1 World Champion in 1997. Gilles died at the wheel of a Ferrari in '82, Enzo loved Gilles like a son. It'd be cool if there was a connection there.
