I love the Roma spider! I think it looks gorgeous with those sleek and swoopy lines and back!! if they ever decided to put a v12 on that thing it‘d be perfection!!

At over £200,000 (before ticking 80k of options) it’s a stunning car but the Aston Martin Vantage is such a strong contender with a proper dash board and switchgear. Or maybe pick up one of the last V8 F type soft tops for a fraction of the price and spend the spare £120,000 on some luxury road trips 🤔

The Roma coupé looks much better than the video suggests. It is difficult to convey this in words. The interior however, shows that Ferrari has lost its way (probably since the 275 GTB...). The car is unnecessarily complex (VBH clearly says this ever so politely). Personally when I see these modern interiors, I can see some very good things (Cf; latest A-M and Porsche S/T) but I can also see that back dating will start much earlier (I'm not just knocking Ferrari here). Back dating will also be necessary: most of this tech will have the same use as a 2010 TomTom. No upgrades, no possible repair or replacement...just ready for recycling.

Had a look at it in our local Ferrari dealer in South Australia.. it was behind a steel fence with guards and the sales lad had the dealership surnamed, when I asked about a test drive he asked are you interested in purchasing one? It’s $650k and we only have it in Dark blue 😂 .. it looks big on the outside but not so in side as far as I could tell. As much as I like the brand somehow the arrogance and snobbery puts me off. Now I can see why the 911 is a better choice ❤

A question for those who've driven this car. I'm 6'5" and have been disappointed by the open top experience in quite expensive cars. I end up keeping the roof closed all the time. Firstly, the top of my head goes numb in the airflow. Secondly, just when I'd like the roof down so I can enjoy the open air and some music, the highend audio is useless unless I turn the volume way up. So, if I spent all that money on this car, would I be able to use it in the real world? Now, VBH is quite petite and looks well protected in the car, but for us tall folks, would we be disappointed?

VBH with a Ferrari. Bliss. However I think this drop top isn't as good looking as the coupe and if I were lucky enough to be able to drop 200k+++ on something of this type I would probably go for the Aston DB12 Volante or Bentley Continental.

It looks very beautiful IMO. But 211k ? That’s outrageous, a Xiaomi SU7 Max with 0-100kmh in 2.7: sec. costs only 35k and is a 4 seater , with Brembo brakes, Napa leather ( heated and ventilated ) , voice command , LIDAR, 15 spkrs , center screen Qualcomm chip, self parking etc etc etc. And the Ultra costs less than 100k , sub 2 sec 0-100kmh. And with the $ left can buy a BYD Yangwang SUV ( less than 100k ) , I don’t even want to go into details like tank turns , tread water, over 1000hp, zero gravity seats etc etc etc. And still have money left.

Yes the SU7 is very fast in a straight line, however it does seem to crash quite a lot if it is shown a corner. Which doesn’t happen with the Ferrari. As for the Yangwang……….Why? Just why?

@ Well you have many motorist that were driving 200-300 hp cars and suddenly they have 670hp , it’s inexperience and also it’s very affordable. Most ppl that drive a Ferrari have some experience with fast cars , they didn’t jump from a normal car to a supercar. The SU7 Max sells for around the price of an Audi A5 or a BMW i3. Also Brembo brakes and the range of adjustments you can make on the SU7 needs some personal tailoring. Not everyone can handle a car that goes that fast.

a novel idea or two. remove paddle shift and all the idiotic driver modes / go back to analogue dials a steering wheel is for steering. remove almost all of those buttons. make the car slower top speed. who needs 199mph ffs. canvas fold away rag top. so the BOOT can be bigger surely the whole point of this cutter is you go on long journeys in it across Europe.
