Get ready for one of our most impressive drag races of all time: Ferrari SF90 v Porsche 911 Turbo S!
That’s right, it’s finally happening! The Porsche 911 Turbo S has left SO many cars in its wake in previous drag races, but it may have just met its match!
So let’s see how these two European powerhouses compare. First up we have the Ferrari, with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with THREE electric motors, which combine to produce 1000hp and 800Nm! It’s pretty light, too, at 1,570kg. But it’s also pretty expensive, starting at £376,000!!
Alongside it, we have the Porsche. It’s packing a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can produce 650hp and 800Nm. It’s a bit heavier than the Ferrari, at 1,640kg, and it also costs a fair bit less, at £168,000.

I just looked it up on the website, (if you take out the remote control toy car thats no 1) The Rimac Nevarro is ranked no.1 with 8.6secs The 2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale ranked 11th with 9.6seconds. Everything above the ferrari other than the Rimac and the redbull pro gp bike and f1 car are tuned cars.

The weight you quote for the SF90 is that of the Assetto Fiorano version, with CF wheels. That there is the standard version and it even have the heaviest cast wheels on it.

You can see both launch simultaneously for the first few seconds which is just insane..it means they are both at the very edge of tyre grip and there is not much difference there...and the ferrari power comes in and takes the lead. Amazing stuff - some of the best launch control systems right here :D !

When you drag race the 992 911 Turbo S, you should keep the Turbo S in Sport Mode (not Sport+) and hit the Sport Response button on the steering wheel before letting the brake go in the launch control sequence. This circumvents deployment of the front spoiler and rear wing yet provides the same boost of power from Sport+ mode. The drag from the front and rear spoilers slow the car down dramatically (by over half a second 0-60 in some tests).

Well that's true but Ferrari sf90 and McLaren 765lt among other very few cars offer the performance of a hypercars (until 200) at a fraction of the price. Because remember this is not early to mid 2000 where hypercars costs 1 million, nowadays hypercar cost anywhere from 2 to 4 million. So it's really good.

The SF90 is only a little over 2 years old, but we can already say that it has entered the legend of the best road-legal cars of all time. Its price is not so crazy when you see those of Bugatti or Koeningsegg, where it is on the butt level performance. With its space shuttle face, this car is truly fantastic. I still prefer the LaFerrari, but the latter is starting to show its age, design from 2013, especially on start-up performance.

When a SF90 has another 350HP in it's back pocket, it'll make most cars/ Bikes look slow. Would be good to see a little fairer fight tbh. Manhart in Germany have a GT2RS with 900HP, or try a Techart 911Turbo S with over 800HP. Then we might see the real winner between more equal Super Cars.

I don't know if it is for the extra weight but Porches seem "pacific" and they give a lot of confidence, at least in the video games. When I try another car of its same category they aren't slower but they feel like it. Overall they feel a bit less fun but safer If in real life it's the same I'd always take a Porsche because they give me tranquility and I trust them

I think this race further cements the genius of 911. So The beautiful Ferrari (always should be red!) needs 3 motors, and double the money to get... .5 seconds faster? Let's not forget what kind of maintenance the Italian horse will need after having a day of fun! The Porsche can be enjoyed day after day with little upkeep!
