Check out the full stage of SS5 - Oak Flat Reverse from the perspective of the ​⁠‪@LexiMount360‬ designed by Alexey Orlov. This is a fast and flowing stage but one of the most enjoyable of the Oregon Trail Rally. These conditions suite the car well, and we were able to push the Ferrari motor to a second overall stage time despite managing overheating conditions all weekend.

You should look up Phil Mills when he drove with Petter Solberg in WRC 15+ years ago. This girl doesnt say much compared to him, when they were driving in Europe. 15+ minutes of continous pacenotes without much time to breath. There is too much straight road in this rally TBH

It would be really cool to see rally broadcasts incorporate this angle. Although I don’t see them mounting 360 cams and long poles to each car. Plus there’s a lot of post processing involved with 360 footage. Not sure if it’s possible to do live just yet. On the other hand I have seen certain racing events use FPV drones to achieve something similar

I've heard other codrivers do the same so that the very last thing the driver hears when approaching a slower turn arrives in their ears at about the right time rather than having to remember 5 seconds further back to beginning of a long straight with a flat turn.. etc..

That is a daft fast stage, my fiesta tops out at 180kmh (would pull 200+ with different FD) and I've never hit that, our organizes here in Aus would put a virtual chicane in there for sure. Impressive mate.

Its so close to looking like a game it got my brain thinking its seeing LOD pop in. Really good reference for any rally game devs, all we need is a really good smoke effect for the dust, photogrammetry assets, and a post processing filter for this video effect.

I almost didn't click the video as I thought it was from a video game. But the title was confusing. This is literally one of the coolest things I've ever seen. This is what a truly photorealistic rally game would look like, and we are many decades away from it unfortunately. The dust effects especially are fascinating. The dust is just everywhere behind the vehicle, but stays neatly tucked underneath the rear wing (pushed down by the downforce?).

This game's graphics are lacking in some aspects, but the character designs are super realistic. I really love the civilian truck at the end, it truly makes it feel like you're having a real race with other vehicles circulating on the open roads while you are on the track.

That co driver is amazing. These are the kind of pace notes a driver wants and the repeating the cautions was right on time. Her reading perfect notes, crystal clear and calm is why he felt so comfortable after about half stage and started going flat out to the line. I can't believe this video has less than a million views. This is better footage than WRC plus or whatever they roped me into buying lol
