Ferrate Arenazzo e Belvedere. Basilicata / Sasso di Castalda

Percorso: da Sasso di Castalda, si raggiunge il centro storico, con vista sul famoso Ponte alla Luna. Si scende qualche metro fino all’attacco della ferrata Arenazzo. Si passa il primo ponte Tibetano di 15 mt, si risale la valle sul lato opposto, fin sotto il ponte sospese più breve. Da lì si attraversa il secondo ponte Tibetano di 40 mt, molto difficile perché il cavo della base non è legato con i cavi passamano, che possono quindi aprirsi e lasciarvi cadere, soprattutto al centro e in presenza di vento. Poi si raggiunge la seconda Ferrata, Belvedere, e si finisce con una bella veduta del paese, vicino la piattaforma del Ponte alla Luna. A seguire, in auto, visita dell’Area faunistica del cervo, sopra Sasso di Castalda, e di Sant’Angelo Le Fratte famosa per i murales
Lunghezza: 3 km (anello). Dislivello: 150 m
Livello: EEA. Le ferrate sono tecnicamente molto facili, attenzione ai ponti Tibetani
Periodo: Aprile. Tips: evitare in estate nelle ore calde

Route: from Sasso di Castalda, you reach the historic center, with a view of the famous Ponte alla Luna. Go down a few meters to the start of the Arenazzo via ferrata. You pass the first Tibetan bridge of 15 meters, go up the valley on the opposite side, until under the shortest suspension bridge. From there you cross the second Tibetan bridge of 40 meters, very difficult because the cable of the base is not tied with the handrail cables, which can therefore open and let you fall, especially in the center and in the presence of wind. Then you reach the second Ferrata, Belvedere, and you end up with a beautiful view of the town, near the platform of the Ponte alla Luna. Then, by car, a visit to the deer wildlife area above Sasso di Castalda, and to Sant’Angelo Le Fratte famous for its murals
