Thank you Elise!! My husband has been obsessed with Ferrero Rocher for many many years and sometimes I joke that it is the reason we eventually married. My family is from Germany and before Ferrero Rocher were easily available here in the states, my family would bring some back a few times a year after visiting the rest of the family in Germany. My U.S. born and bound husband would always eagerly await the arrival of the little chocolate/hazelnut spheres, just like a child during Christmas. Now that these candies can be found in just about any store in the United States, they've lost a little of the magic for him; however, I think your simple yet elegant recreation will be the PERFECT recipe to also recreate some of those very special memories we had. I have encountered other Ferrero Rocher recipes before, but this one is BY FAR the simplest and most visually stunning I have seen. I'm going to TRY and hold off on making these for Father's Day next month although he will be just as thrilled to have them served any day of the week, I'm sure. Thank you so very much for making me smile and giving me a new found way to surprise him. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! XOXOXO

I remember when nutella just got popular where I lived and thinking, "this tastes exactly like the filling of ferrero rocher". Turns out they're owned by the same company so it really IS the filling! What better way to use it than mix up a dessert with them both and pop them in a chocolate bowl. Loved the recipe...thank you!

Wrap a small bowl in cling film (saran wrap) then dip in the chocolate. When set, lift out the bowl and peel away the film.

How does you melted chocolate never set while you're talking? When I melt chocolate and leave it in a bowl it sets literally within half a minute! How does yours stay melted for so long? x

Try melting it in a double boiler not a microwave

+Dasha Y do over double boiler and add a little coconut oil into it. it will keep it smooth and will still set in the freezer.

Are you using compound chocolate? Check the ingredients and if it has vegetable oil or vegetable fats then you are. Try using chocolate that has cocoa butter and tempering that so it sets at room temperature.

Normal balloons work too!! Just do not inflate them too much, keep them small. When it comes to popping it out and separating from the chocolate shell, it's still easily done.

Oh god I tried making these but a balloon popped right in my face. I was covered in chocolate but I had so much fun. The bowls are really thin and melt in your hands but they taste great! And for the mousse, mine didn't firm up nicely but it still tastes amazing.
