Everyone in the comments! Baths should only be given when really needed! Baths make ferrets overproduce their natural oils which make them super itchy and smelly! Also DO NOT use any soap or shampoo! Try an oatmeal bath or just use warm water Also please do not impulse buy ferrets because they are cute, they are very high maintenance animals and they can destroy lots of things

Have kept ferrets for about 15 years and there not a pet for children and you have to rework your house so accommodate them. There not necessarily high maintenance animals but you have to spend good amounts of time with them on a a daily basis. Training them means you have to be patient, persistent and preserver. 95 percent litter trained they can make great companions, I say 3-5 of them is a good business.

They don't need to, they clean themselves. If you want to "pamper" them then I guess you can do an oatmeal soak, have their claws trimmed, and that's it. (Sometimes you have to clean their ears, if you have more than one ferret then you don't really need to) ferret shampoos are toxic, and they strip their natural oils and they become stinky! Please don't ever bathe them if necessary!

Please dont bathe your ferret at all, its very bad for there skin. It strips all essential oils and makes then very itchy, if you do it dont use any shampoo or conditioner. It also does the opposite affect, it makes them smell worse. Trust me i know from experience. Also you can bathe them with something called oats i think? Its not bad for them but be careful that you dont bathe them to much. Some of the chemicals over time will sink into there skin and can cause later on health issues

You can put oatmeal in a sock and set it in the water with them, I think that's what you're talking about. Also, you said to never bathe ferrets and listed all of the negative effects of bathing, but if you mention that you should never bathe your ferrets then I think you should also put in there that you can bathe them on special occasions, like if they get very dirty, but yes, just water should do the trick. Also, I think you can include that if you're bathing for smell that they have a specific odor to them and that any other things like odor-reducing spray will work in the same way as the shampoo, making them smell ore ant irritating their skin.

I love this they are soooo chill 😇 only thing I will say is bathing Ferrets on a regular basis won't make them smell better, in fact it will make them smell worse as they will lose all their natural oils and it can irritate their skin. 1 to 2 times a.year unless they are very dirty is ideal 👌 gorgeous cute slinkies though 😍

I give mine oatmeal baths once a year.its bad for them to have baths on a regular basis.they will start smelling.cause there oils in there fur will over compensate.def dont use human soap or shampoo or other animal shampoos just a warm water is good or oatmeal plain quacker oats put in a bad and stab lil holes in the bag then put in the water.these people know what there doing.there not good swimmers i see people tossing theres in deep water and you can see them .struggle to keep up.

You are not ment to bath your ferrets unless from the VERY odd occasion and you are especially not ment to use shampoo, they dont need it. Bathing to much can be quite harmful for them.

İ do live in Japan when we decide to have ferret there is a small store near my house sales only ferret and rabbit we learned a lot from store owver and just before we buy the ferret my gf asked to go see somewhere bigger somewhere more looking good professional and we find and go to ferret world in funabashi and nop it's was disappointment. The ferrets was hungry and so stressed all of them was bitting like wooow... Just stay away from ferret world in funabashi. I know other ferret world store's doing better.

That's sad to hear. I've been to all the other three Ferret Worlds, and they were awesome. (except for the fact that the furbabies are brought to Japan/the store too young; but that's the only choice you get here so heck) In fact, I'm going to Ferret World Yokohama today to go look at two cuties that I may want to purchase. When I get a ferret, I'm gonna advocate raw feeding in Japan. The stinky noodles don't deserve crap kibble!

FERRETS SHOULD ONLY BE BATHED ONCE A MONTH! Bathing them frequently can make their skin itchy and their coat oily! Ferrets should also NEVER be bathed with human soaps and you actually don’t need any soap for them at all. Over bathing strips their coats of their natural oils! Just because they look cute doesn’t mean they’re happy!

Micro-bubble baths aren't harmful to ferrets (as long as its not excessive). Their shop would get shut down if any ferrets were to be harmed in any way during the bath. The ferrets do not show discomfort or pain, instead they show relaxation and calm-ness during the procedure. The 'green stuff' is actually sold specifically for ferrets and helps keep their skin moist and doesn't strip of oils.
