Thank you for showing the museum, it brought back a nice memory of my father. After the oil crisis in 'the 70's 'Lamborghini' designed a heating system that used old engine oil as fuel, and from memory it was aimed at commercial service centres which at the time had to pay to dispose of it. My father was sent over to the factory to learn how the system worked with a view to bringing it back to the uk. Several pictures of him stood outside the main building and internally of the boiler room where they used their own old oil to heat the factory! Ferruccio was a very clever man.

A wonderful aspect of this museum is how nothing is roped off which offers the visitor the opportunity to get up close and personal. Its management expects people to be mature enough to respect the historical value of each piece and not overstep. Always a joy to watch another installment of Mr. Metcalfe's garage.

In 1989 we were staying on Lake Tresimano in Umbria. We went looking for a vineyard and happened upon Ferruccio Lamborghini's vineyard by chance. He had a small museum there you could visit and had an example of every tractor and car he had produced - probably the examples now in the Bologna museum? . After we had bought some of his wine he came over from his house and chatted to us briefly, he was as just as proud of his wines and tractors as he was his cars! Quite an experience.

The thing i love about then apart from the beautiful design is the fact that they don’t discriminate when it comes to buyers. There’s none of the snob culture of only allowing buyers to buy rare models if they already own multiple cars as some rival manufacturers do.

Wonderful and fascinating video of the Lamborghini museum. I imagine there aren't many people left from the original days of Ferruccio as the "sign of the bull" is often misrepresented. The Maŕzal name, for example, came from breeders of the Spanish fighting bull in Olivenza, a beautiful village south of Badajoz. This brings me to Ferruccio's relationship with the world of Tauromaquia... and his friendship with Eduardo Miura. More than one model name was inspired by him and "Los toros de Miura" are still legendary today across Spain as the Miura is asociated to Lamborghini in Italy, I'm sure! Lastly, so good to see that beautiful - and so rare - Islero there. "Islero" was the name of the fighting bull that took the life of a very young - and brave - Manolete so many years ago. It was one of Eduardo Miura's...

Our sales rep had an Espada and knew we were also into cars so took us to a car meet one evening. Whist there we got talking to two chaps who had brought their power boats down the coast both were powered by 2 Lamborghini V12 engines. The sound was out of this world. Thanks for sharing such an interesting video 🙂
