As an Amazon Influencer, I earn from qualifying purchases. Fertilizing fruit trees in containers can be tricky. How much do they need? Can you burn them? Let me show you how I'm fertilizing these container-grown fruit trees. I am growing Fig, Pear, Persimmon, and Orange trees in containers. I'll be fertilizing them today with water-soluble fertilizer. I give them about 1 gallon each every 10 days. I'll do this for the next month or so to give them a great start.

Hi TP2! You might want to consider using the MiracleGro at half strength and putting down pelleted P before you water the plants with MG. I use MG regularly & find as weather gets hotter, full strength tends to burn. At 1/2 strength, your plants are still getting plenty of nutrients, plus, with the P pellets, it's more complete. Just an idea. MG actually works pretty well, just not full on, IMO.

@@BIGALTX granules I should have said. There's Epsoma and other brands. Most any kind of bone meal will suffice. I urge you to stock up now. Been listening to farm reports and they're worried because phosphorus is in short supply. Another thing about 1/2 strength MG, or even less than 1/2 strength, the salts do not build up in your soil; at full strength, it has more of that tendency. Also want to make you aware, as I've been waiting on these to get to USA for a while. Birdies Raised Beds! How i love the thought of 18" raised bed, or the big round one. I added 1 pound of lime (just like the EarthBox says to use) I think I used about 1 LB of 10-20-10 fertilizer too... mixed both in good with the top 12" of soil. But, as the season goes on, I also use Hoss Tool's 20-20-20 water soluble and Micro Boost. I either put it in the fertilizer injector, or just down the fill tube and watered it in. Amazing results!
