This is just a clip from a Festo promotional video. It's just the part I was interested in. The original is found here • Festo's Extraordinary ...

Yeah those new robot is so restricted in movement rather than being dynamic like a human being, I mean I know it's a robot but they are developing a humanoid robot so they should resembles human anatomy right? and for me engineers who do this kind of work should require to learn Human Anatomy otherwise we are just wasting money and time, trying to figure out how we can make those "new" robot move like a human being. A good example is boston dynamic, yeah, they managed to do a complicated robot that moves like a human, but you can feel how heavy they are and impractical they are, they are using motor and need to be constantly moving just to stay up and catch it's balance. Human can stand without marching like those robot right? Imagine if those engineers learn and studied Human anatomy earlier and figure out how they can manage to put this in the robotic system. In short, for me if we want to make a human like robot, we must start to develop them like a human being too and stop using robotic system that are meant for production robot, vehicle system etc.

@@bulbulitobayagbagan9633 why recreate humans exactly if they are going to be servants an we are making them stronger an smarter. They already made ai very dumb by telling it to express emotion an say it's alive. There are plenty of humans but they were created weak an lacking ai .

what would you estimate the cylinder size would be for the demand in volume and pressure to drive these pneumatics?
@Sekeletu7 жыл бұрын
It's all in the documentation. Typically it works on 6 bars, the flow depends on the dynamics and speed you want to achieve.

I would build my humanoid robot also with air pressure but i don't think that it could fit a compressor with enough psi

A "real" muscle also uses a small portion of air since humans an blood consist of parts of air
