Its nice to see a video where someone acknowledges the health and safety aspect of Festool products. As a DAV with COPD I started switching over to Festool so that I could keep woodworking without any further damage to my breathing. I found myself leaving my workshop feeling much better because of the lack of fine dust in that environment. So for me and I can see for you, the Festool draw is not to be snobbish but keep healthy while enjoying woodworking as long as you can. Thanks for sharing.

Best work together systems available..... I'm been on a Festool buying spree lately.. my shop is almost complete. I could sell it all if need be and still end up in good shape or leave my tools to my grandson who loves woodworking. You get what you pay for, I could not be happier with my purchases. I just ordered the Kapex, full CMS router table and mini table today. That's it for the big purchases. I know own most of their high ticket items.... from here it will be yearly accessorizing. My shop is small as well.... thank you for the video:-)

I agree with your Philosophy on the small shop with Festool. My only critique is the use of sustainers. I hate any sort of tool container in the stationary shop. I like my tools out and ready to use. I have all my high use power tools stored in cavities under my workspace. Anyone who says Festool is overpriced does not own a Festool. Thanks for posting.

For him in his small shop he values storage. I have several large shops but also like that storage so that the tools are always where you need them safe and sound.

You are observant! It is an official think sign from IBM that my dad gave to me many years ago. He started the computing department at Bausch & Lomb.

Thanks for sharing - Where did you get the woodpeckers set? I'd love to have all the marking and measuring tools in a single set like yours. Best, J

I enjoyed the review of your Festool equipped shop. If you don't mind me asking, what brand of layout tools are up on your back wall? They look like Woodpecker.

William Pool Those are made by Pinnacle but the top 3 were part of a woodcraft 50th anniversary set that I purchased a few years back on close out. I’ve found the quality to be excellent and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. I’ve since added to that array with some Wooodpecker tools. I read somewhere that the pinnacle tools are made by woodpecker for woodcraft. When I put them side by side the main difference is the black color of pinnacle vs red for woodpecker.

That looks like a THINK sign back there. Are you an IBMer?

The Festool MFT table takes up more floor space than a proper table saw and mitre saw put together, and you'll be struggling to do basic wood cutting.
