Great video. Thank you. Regarding router direction when hand routing, I always remember my highschool woodshop teacher's maxim . . . "Feed as you read".

@@sedgetool I started out with the ets ec 125 and some granat. Completely changed my sanding game and zero swirl marks. I went from scratching the surface with my old sander to now I understand what abrading the surface is all about. I love the videos on both of your channels. Keep up the great work. I am a believer!

I use double sided tape to hold the workpiece and the cut out

cool..... I use too but was tired of peeling and cleaning....

@@sedgetool I agree it can be a pain. I found Painter's Mate double sided tape at Menards. It’s a double sided masking tape that is easy to remove. It sticks well enough for my CNC

How can you use the template to make a serving tray out of a single piece of hardwood In an efficient and fast way?
@sedgetool2 жыл бұрын
I would use a core box bit to do the perimeter of the tray with the MFS then I would use a straight bit for the removal of the rest

Any idea where to get one? Festool won’t allow Europe to send to USA.

Jim....I know of a few folks who have found them on eBay, craigslist and Facebook marketplace ....

MFS is an template, why making a template with a template?
@sedgetool Жыл бұрын
That is just the way I use it...

It’s replaces many small templates but some templates are complex and this helps fabricate them. As an example, I’m working on producing a valet tray/desk organizer and I need multiple pockets. This will allow me make a master template so I can batch out the product. Also, while there may be a rectangular cut out in the center, there may be curvatures on the exteriors.
