The sander is a beast. I got one back in 2012 , sold it a few years later because I wasn't using it as much as I thought I would. Most of my sanding work is with finish sanding, versus removal or leveling. But I've contemplated buying it again lol. You're obviously no stranger to tool purchases, so if you do a lot of finish sanding I'd add ETS EC 150/5. Your hands will thank you from noticable less hand fatigue over the DeWalts and Ryobi Plus all the paper will be interchangeable sticking with the 150mm. The RO 90 is a fantastic sander. It's not my most used the ETS 150 is our most used. Another one to consider if you want to be able to sand profiles is the RTS 400 either using the Surfprep pad/paper or stacking Festool interface pads on the RTS. Thanks for the cool vid.

Your information supports what I have been hearing. I started with the Rotex 150 because it was the most expensive. I wanted to get that out of the way as I acquire all of the sanders that I think I will need to complete projects. Thanks for the information and taking the time to watch the video.

Nice workshop setup you've got going on! I got the RO90 a while back, I call it the little angry beaver. It seriously sped up stripping my window sashes, and exterior trim. I'll probably get the big angry beaver before too long, as I've got some bigger projects I want to tackle.

Thanks for the overview. Those rotex sanders are beasts. The RO90 is on my short list. My first festool sander, and one I very highly recommend, is the ETS EC 150/5. Perfect for finish sanding but can be aggressive enough for some serious material removal (but not as much as the rotex). The RTS/DTS 400 is also great little sanders. I have the RTS 400 and it's great for edge sanding. I'm still considering the $200 sanding disc systainer set myself for my EC 150/5, but I have enough discs for now. Tool nirvana sells custom 50packs or granat where you can choose your own grits. A great way to stock up while saving some cash over the individual 10 packs.

Thanks as always NW for the support. I am looking forward to putting in work with my new Rotex. I am still unsure on which sander I will pick up next. I would like to pick up both at the same time but we will have to see. I your RTS corded or hybrid? I have heard of Tool Nirvana. I will have to check out that sand paper deal to stock up.

@@daddysharespace For your next sander I highly recommend the ETS EC 150/5. The big rotex you got can handle some finish sanding, but it's quite heavy for that to be its primary function. The EC 150/5 is much lighter and ergonomic to use. Easier for longer sanding sessions. I went for the corded versions of all my festools. I think the cordless version of the RTS 400 is brushless, but I'm hoping festool redesigns the corded version to have a brushless motor as well, and a slimmer profile. Basically like the ETS EC 150/125 sanders but with the RTS pad. Definitely check them out. Tool nirvana has been great to me. I;m not sure what state you live in, but I'm in NY and don't get charged tax.
