I’ve been cabinetmaker for about 25 years, half of it self-employed. I have never liked buying tools. I buy good tools to make my work pleasant, but I really hate buying tools. I have never coveted another man’s tools like I do yours. You have the dream shop.

In my opinion…. He could have had the same organization with the wooden shelves, and any small little shelves to hold small parts n stuff like that. I’ve made all kinds of small accessory holders for my wall unit that holds all my festool. The only thing I see with these metal shelves… is stuff is gonna slide once there is a light dusting of sawdust on them. I would have stuck with the wood. This is obviously a sponsored deal.

I liked your old wall better. It showed some ingenuity and thoughtful design vs. putting up a metal wall with metal hangers. We're woodworkers so any time I see something someone created and designed and then made it think it gives a much better look, and you learn skills along the way.

I used to work at Woodcraft and this feels exactly like their festool sales section lol. Not gonna lie I liked the aesthetic of the old wall more 🤷‍♂️ all the love though

Premium gas cost more to run a premium engine in a premium car own by a premium man of Society. The same goes for a Premium carpenter with premium tools. If you don't appreciate cost of quality there is always Ryobi and there isn't a tool that Festool makes that Ryobi does. They also have the link wall system that is a beautiful engineering specimens even with the same sake touch of neon green color too and cost less than a cup of coffee. 😮😮.

I think festool is a fantastic brand, but they have started to go the way of Apple with their proprietary connectors and add-ons, and of course the continued extreme cost. That said you can get a better cost going second hand.

@@schlenbea So I am going to slightly disagree with you, I think the German are innovators when it comes to tools and Festool is no different from the rest. They invented the track saw and you had to pay out the Ying Yang, they patent the ratcheting system on their router and like wise costly. Same thing with Fein they invented the oscillating and charge $600 for it. FLEX did the same for angle grinders. Mafell makes the best jigsaw in the world currently at astonishingly $800.00. Hilti makes some of the best tools with a real world 20+2 warranty and a 24 hour turnaround rate that is real The German will build you the absolute best tools but they demand a premium price and they have always been that way. I just bought a Mafell 160 track ,2 Mafell track clamps and 1 Mafell track connector F~ing $460 dude. Did I agree with that price for 3 items, absolutely not However I bought the best track saw tracks in the world to eliminate carrying crazy long tracks to the job sites and still have accuracy of a long track. Festool have all these engineers coming into the office every day full time and they don't have Chinese slaves in their factories and that were we differ because Apple have slavery but they still charge an arm and a leg.

Looks fabulous, I'd just be worried about things getting knocked off those shelves too easily. Of course if anything was ever that organized in my shop I'd probably never find anything 😅😂

It looks like a festool sales corner in a store. I started putting my festool stuff on custom fitted wooden bases ( that fit each tool) and then put them all in some drawers I had ( I had a huge drawer.. 20”X 34”, that I put a lot of stuff in) then screwed the other drawers to that big one.. and fastened them all to the wall, behind and to the left of my miter saw. I NEVER put my tools in the systainers.. that never made sense to me. Needed quick access to them, and quick to put up… everything visually organized.. which aids in the quick access. It also looks pretty cool

Congrats on your sponsorship!!! At work we have a large variety of tools from festool to Dewalt to Makita, and everyone always seems to reach for the Makitas 1st, the Dewalt ( because we have a 1000 batteries) then Festool. Personally I don't think the TS 75/55 is a match for Makita. Great video, thanks for posting.
