Mr Festus was in all likelyhood a member of a secret society. Such individuals are usually attracted to the Lodge for power and wealth, all of which the 'Caucasian' represents.

Good job and I think Chief Okotie-Eboh deserves some national honor. If we consider the massive looting and corruption of today, we may consider tbe past leaders as saints becos they were at least productive and intelligent unlike the one that has spent six years on cow issues till date.

You made some errors, Chief Festus OKOTIE -EBOH is a SAPELE ( OROGUN indigine) He is 100% URHOBO man, one of his wives is ITESKIRI, and he took chieftaincy there. He was Finance minister for 10 years and Labour for 1 year. Some comments called him a " Thief", he was never tried or corruption case before him.

My dear brethren, Corruption can be found in all.parts of the globe and we woukd be naive to think that Africans have the monopoly for it. For inasmuch economies will deal with and depend on money, it shall never cease to exist. Someone once told me about a country not located in African but which I won't name herein that it would not stand even for a single day if courruption was to be eradicated! Having said that does not imply my encouraging or accepting it.

What is this guy talking about? He was not the founder of central bank. The central bank was created by law enacted by the house of representatives. It was the result of G.D Paton report of enquiry in 1952. It was then established in 1958.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not their own facts but, blame resolves nothing and the past is the past except that we are repeating the same mistakes of the past and we are not moving forward. There was no reason to kill him or the coup of 1966 which nigeria has never recovered period. The brutal Civil War and the defeat of BIAFRA birthed the northern hegemony today. Finally, Professor Achebe, had point when he indicted the abject failure of Nigeria leaders past and present and it has been our biggest obstacle as a Nation tribalism included period.

Stop being a tribalist in 2021. Enough of this animosity that has kept us underdeveloped. For your information, the Igbos didn't have family meeting and decided to kill Okotie-Ebo. It was a military coup which would never have involved the Igbo masses. Even if all Igbos united to kill these men, is your revenge with the blood of Aguiyi Ironsi, over 100,000 Easterners that died in the aftermath of the 1966 coup, and over 3million Easterners that died in the civil war not enough to atone for the blood of Okotie-Ebo? Think twice before you toe the part of satan. Enough of this animosity.... let's move forward as a nation.
