@@2wenty1_savage38don't try to twist his comment out of context. You probably would have agreed with it outrightly if he had said that about Peter Obi, Ojukwu or Nnamdi Kanu. We all know Awolowo's social and economic achievements for his people is unparalleled in the history of political leadership in Nigeria. That's what the comment is expressing appreciation for not his moral conduct which only God can judge.

Stop trying to be clever. You didn't see how Igbo contributed bcos the story is about Awolowo and Akintola. If you want to know how Igbos caused the predicament they fall into, you would not stop where this story ended. You would extend it to the first coup and how northern and western political and military elites were eliminated while those of Eastern region were excluded. That was the Genesis and you know it. When people are benefitting from injustice, they should know that what goes around, comes around.

Awo unintentionally created some problems, just do a little more research. He should have returned as a godfather endorsing candidates instead of trying to force Akintola out. Additionally, his role after the civil war as finance minister leaves a bitter taste, but only those who were there in history will know better. There were better ways to kick Akintola out instead of those bloodbath.
@VRed224Күн бұрын
@@analog4254This is quite complex. Awolowo has really worked for the successes in Southwest while he was the Premier of the region. He couldn't just allow his 'subordinate' to destroy his work. No one planned the fight. It was spontaneous and a lot was done by Awolowo to remove Akintola but he was just kinda 'unremovable'. The narrator mentioned how hard it was to displace Akintola. He also has the federal power working for him.
