A minister once asked me why I did not come to church more often than I do. I do go semi-regularly, not just a huge priority. I told him that I could go up the side of a hill, sit down under a tree and overlook God's beautiful world, and talk to him from my heart, and feel closer to Him than I ever did in any church! Every person has their own method of communicating with his or her creator, and it is no one else's business, as long as no one else is harmed.

I know what you mean. Army trained me to sleep anywhere and eat anything as a young man. I used those skills many times on hunting and hiking trips. Now that I am in my 60's I need a little more "luxury" to be comfortable. It actually made me uncomfortable seeing him sleeping on the ground, in the open, under threat of rain.

You mentioned the ICECO fridge/freezer you received. It appears to be the same one I own which we discussed when you interviewed me last year in May. My unit is the VL65 and I've used it since 2020. I'm quite happy with it. My recommendation is to not power the fridge with a solar generator. I used the Bluetti AC200 which died last fall and Bluetti has since sent me a replacment (AC200P). I find there is too much internal loss even with no load with power on. In testing I find much better performance wired directly to a Li-ion 12v battery recharged by solar and perhaps your outboard with an battery to battery adapter. The solar generators work well if you need 110 AC power, but otherwise there is too much waste internally due to the inverter penalty. Also, I see you are getting started with drones. You may find helpful information in the recent "Equipment" video I posted on "Drones" used on my trips. Hope the trip goes well for you.

How in the world did you find anywhere in Ga that the fire ants didn’t eat you alive camping on the ground is beyond me. Once I was in Ohio on a trip to Brainard Mn pouring rain all day exhausted I gave up stopped at the first place I could find pulled up in front walked into the lobby dripping just in time to hear the desk clerk turn down a business man in a Mercedes no rooms as I went to turn around to leave the clerk asked about my bike Mercedes left the clerk said you needed that room more than he did and gave me a great rate on top of that. There are some good people out there. Can’t wait to hear more soon the Shanty is going to feel like a million dollar yacht when you get back on her.
