When our worldly bonds are thinner there expands the great beyond to ponder. While meditation akin to prayer allows ourselves to become aware of our place in time and space and snare, proceed with care. I'm gleaning tidbits here, thank you and rock steady.

the natural world , circadian rhythm & downsizing will set you free ! former marine engineer & fabricator / govt worker etc here , after a life of toil i lost my wife due to cancer & and was disabled due to injury , what i did not loose paying medical expences etc i sold the rest of my belongings i discovered how much i did no need to live & poured myself into a tiny home i built in a 6 x 12 cargo trailer , what had been a disaster in my life turned into a blessing as i became closer to the natural world around me distancing myself from the trappings of modern life you become more in tune to the creators will & morality , your a carbon copy of myself & adventurous choices traversing the land & an inspiration of goodwill & learning to others - bravo sir !

A minister once asked me why I did not come to church more often than I do. I do go semi-regularly, not just a huge priority. I told him that I could go up the side of a hill, sit down under a tree and overlook God's beautiful world, and talk to him from my heart, and feel closer to Him than I ever did in any church! Every person has their own method of communicating with his or her creator, and it is no one else's business, as long as no one else is harmed.

It was great seeing you and Wavy again. Wavy is so lucky to have you as her caregiver. I give you a lot of credit for roughing it like that on those road trips. I'm at the age where I can't do that anymore I can't sleep on the ground and need a decent motel room to get out of the elements. I'm so glad you're all safe and in one piece. Knowing how crazy it is on the roads no matter where one travels these days. God bless and take care XX

I know what you mean. Army trained me to sleep anywhere and eat anything as a young man. I used those skills many times on hunting and hiking trips. Now that I am in my 60's I need a little more "luxury" to be comfortable. It actually made me uncomfortable seeing him sleeping on the ground, in the open, under threat of rain.

@hakeem4802 that's the problem with sponsorships. If it made it onto the Shanty boat, with its limited space ans weight capacity, it's (in my opinion) a value adding addition to the overall package. You mentioned the ICECO fridge/freezer you received. It appears to be the same one I own which we discussed when you interviewed me last year in May. My unit is the VL65 and I've used it since 2020. I'm quite happy with it. My recommendation is to not power the fridge with a solar generator. I used the Bluetti AC200 which died last fall and Bluetti has since sent me a replacment (AC200P). I find there is too much internal loss even with no load with power on. In testing I find much better performance wired directly to a Li-ion 12v battery recharged by solar and perhaps your outboard with an battery to battery adapter. The solar generators work well if you need 110 AC power, but otherwise there is too much waste internally due to the inverter penalty. Also, I see you are getting started with drones. You may find helpful information in the recent "Equipment" video I posted on "Drones" used on my trips. Hope the trip goes well for you.

I know it's a little confusing with the timeline. On KZbin, we're at the top of the Tenn-Tom. In "real time" we're near Tampa. Trying to catch up.

Trips like that have memories made right into them good or bad there still memories. How in the world did you find anywhere in Ga that the fire ants didn’t eat you alive camping on the ground is beyond me. Once I was in Ohio on a trip to Brainard Mn pouring rain all day exhausted I gave up stopped at the first place I could find pulled up in front walked into the lobby dripping just in time to hear the desk clerk turn down a business man in a Mercedes no rooms as I went to turn around to leave the clerk asked about my bike Mercedes left the clerk said you needed that room more than he did and gave me a great rate on top of that. There are some good people out there. Can’t wait to hear more soon the Shanty is going to feel like a million dollar yacht when you get back on her.

You may need a roof rack. But don't overload it. You'll tip over. Lol you coulda stacked those boards on top of the concrete and slept very comfortably on the concrete under that roof. Very dry.

I worked a Nuke in that area north of Chattanooga called Soddy Daisy. It sucked. I stayed 5 days.😅
