Nice job! We need more people like you that fly KISS and explain things haha! So easy to find info on BetaFlight, but I always have a harder time finding info about KISS or now KISS compatible stuff. I am so glad they are finally getting a OSD, it's about time!

Nice V2 prototype! I'm just getting round to putting my first FETtec build together, I've had the FC and 45a ESC for close to a year now, but with all the stuff I'm seeing in their Facebook group where guys 4in1s have died for no reason it's making me think twice about using these parts. How has your experience been with this setup?
@Its_Mee_Bee3 жыл бұрын
I’ve not had any issues. The first issues were related to firmware. Just make sure you’re up to date.
@Dav21123 жыл бұрын
@@Its_Mee_Bee thanks man, I honestly regret joining their Facebook group because I get notifications daily about some dude on that group having problems, seems to be more with the 45a ESC though. I'm fairly confident in my soldering and always take my time with builds, so I'm sure it'll all work out fine for me.

Thanks for sharing! I really like how the fettec board works like whitenoisefpv’s synergy fc! I think that design of attaching vtx and rx to the board itself makes builds really clean and compact. I’ve not had any problems from this on the synergy and look forward to getting a fettec build together. Thanks again for sharing! Keep us updated. This information is incredibly valuable.

Great vid, thanks! Mad a couple of things more clear for me. But, I have to add one bit of information; the washers are to protect the really small parts on the bottom side of the ESC, which you risk pushing off with M3 standoffs. This info comes from the makers themselves. FYI :)

Hello, thanks for the video! I am about to put together my first KISS build. I've got the FETTEC 20x20 FC&ESC and a TBS Unify evo. Will I need to use a regulator board for the VTX, Cam, and other components? Do you happen to have pictures of the wiring of your KISS setup with the unify EVO?
@Its_Mee_Bee4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam. All of the components you’ve listed are capable of taking direct battery voltage up to 6S. The FC has all the VTX pad connections you need to connect the vtx directly to the FC. The FC will act as a passthru. If you don’t like that, just bypass the FC alltogether and connect the EVO to vbat, and then power your camera from the EVO

Since I can't find a Kiss V2 in the states. I may give this a try looking for compatibility with Kiss 32A, or 25A esc's and wolf PDB. Will the Wolf V3 plug into this? Thanks
@Its_Mee_Bee4 жыл бұрын
There’s no “plug” for the Wolf pdb like there is for the V2, but you can direct wire everything and you’ll be just fine. The FETTEC FC is 100% KISS V2 software.
@logo80094 жыл бұрын
@@Its_Mee_Bee Here is what there web site says but, the connectors look different. This is from GITHUB Hardware Wold V3 PDB The Wolf V3 has a single connector for communication with your flight controller and ships with a pigtail which allows plug and play operation with KISS V1, V2 and FETTEC flight controllers. For Betaflight you can remove the connectors from the pigtail and direct solder the power, motor signals, serial port and optionally ESC telemetry wire. Impulse OSD supports direct CRSF and SBUS connections for use with other FCs than KISS and Betaflight. Voltage and current information will be displayed using the internal current and voltage sensors of the Wolf V3 then. You can use all the features of ImpulsOSD with a direct CRSF and SBUS connection however you cannot manipulate FC related settings, such as PIDs, Rates, Filers etc. The flight controller/receiver is automatically detected and configured, no interaction or settings are required to determine the type connected. The Wolf V3 is only powered by the Lipo input pads and not via the USB port. To connect via USB and change settings using the desktop Config Tool you must also supply power via the Lipo input pads.

I just found your channel , subed. Ive been into fpv for about a yr now. Ive been interested in checking out kiss/Fettec . Is it challenging to switch over to kiss from beataflight ? Any advantages ? ie ; pid tuning or building Thx
@Its_Mee_Bee4 жыл бұрын
The hardest part about switching over is the cost of mistakes. KISS/FETtec are more expensive than other systems. But if you’re careful as you build and you expect that some parts will be DOA or faulty, then it’s really no different of an experience. Paying more for parts isn’t a guarantee they’ll survive poor soldering or not have a manufacturing defect. If there is a downside to KISS, it’s a lack of a built in OSD. Keep in mind that even in 2017 when the v2 board came out, OSD wasn’t “standard” yet, and the board hasn’t changed since then. That being said, the Crossfire and the TBS EVO solve that problem really nicely. The advantage, for me, is the directness of the stick feel. It just feels better, and I’ve flown (recently) flight one, FalcoX, and BF 4. KISS fees like what I want to fly. Cheers, and welcome!

To get it right, Felix was done with Flyduino, not KISS. KISS is software, that'll keep going. In terms of Flyduino, that hardware to me is dead. Flyduino still refuses to change and just stick to what they are doing. Best example is their very fragile 4in1 that has very inadequate MOSFETs rated for 30v only when a 40v version exists. Yet, Flyduino didn't go with the higher voltage one, why? That's Flyduino for ya right there. And, the poster boy for Flyduino, Steele, is recommending people that it will work with no issues on 6s. Sorry, I used to race with that 4in1 on 6s and I have a drawer full of dead ones, ten of them to be exact. They are not cheap nor reliable. The hardware is underrated for what it is. Even if drilled out and soft mounted they still can't handle the power draws and hard shocks from crashes from flights. But then again, FETTEC is starting to be the new Flyduino in a way. I messaged them directly asking if their newer bigger 45 amp 4in1 would be able to handle a higher kv motor on 6s, their response was they cannot handle anything over 1750kv on 6s which is a load of crap imo. FETTEC also has no warning labels on their website and still don't mention anything about what motor kv and battery cell counts you can use without it blowing up on you in a simple hover test. And, KISS filtering can't compare to BF filters. One bent prop and KISS freaks out and is unflyable. Everything on the quad has to be perfect, otherwise KISS flies horribly.

Not currently, no. They offer an OSD board, but I’ve heard a future FC will have an OSD chip
