Beautiful version. I am a die hard Jimi fan, but Fever Tree has always held a close second. Best of both worlds here❤

Back in 1968 when Fever Tree's first album appeared on UNI Records, they became huge in Orange County, California. You couldn't go anywhere in the area without bumping into someone very excited about Fever Tree. It didn't matter if you were in Anaheim, Laguna Beach, Buena Park or Cypress, you were going to find people into Fever Tree. Sadly, they never crossed over into the mainstream and remained an obscure band. But they were one of the best psychedelic bands of them all. In a few months it will be 50 years since their first album appeared and in all those 50 years, I've never tired of listening to them.

The Fever Tree usually played the song early in their sets before they released their first album. It was a cross between the Music Machine and the Leaves. They always put on a good show. Played many teen clubs and venues in Houston.

proud098 This is a very fine rendition, it is just as though they added all the other ways groups have done this song into one experience. From rapid pace at first, to a slower but intense ending similar to Johnny Rivers version. Just great listening.

This is one of the oddest blues tunes I've ever heard. I think it'd be really fascinating without the heavy reverb/echo in parts. It has a mellow 'Who' feel about, 'cept the guitarist is better than Townsend!

This is not Hey Joe. Only the lyrics kind of reminds of the original. Not same melody and not the same harmonics. Nothing wrong with it though. Decent psychedelic stuff.
