Kelsey has gotten so much better in front of the media since the beginning of the year. She has really stepped up as a leader on this team and not in the shadow of Caitlin. She never makes it her incorrect decision and her problem when she makes bad choices.. Oh my! Temi n Caitlin were working together before her injuries, as well as, Caitlin n Hull, Caitlin n Boston and Caitlin n Mitchell. STATS UPDATE - After the Las Vegas game MOST ASSISTS IN A SEASON 316 = most assists in a season by Alyssa Thomas in 2023 312 = number of assists by Caitlin Clark in 2024 with 3 games remaining 1.3 = assists per game over the next 3 games to tie the record - Clark's per game average right now is 8.4 assists, so it is likely that she will set the WNBA assist record with 337 assists. She already has the rookie record. MOST THREE POINTERS IN A SEASON 128 = most 3 pointers in a season by Sabrina Ionescu in 2023 112 = number of 3 pointers by Caitlin Clark in 2024 with 3 games remaining 5.3 = 3 pointers per game over the next 3 games to tie the record - Clark's per game average right now is 3.0 three pointers per game, so it is likely that she will fall short of breaking this record this season with 121 three pointers. That said, she is already sitting at #6 on the all-time list in this category and is trending to reach 2nd place. That is still pretty good for a rookie, yes? Also, A. Ogunbowale (104) and K. Mitchel (100) are also in this year's race. MOST POINTS IN A SEASON BY A ROOKIE 744 = most points in a season by a rookie by Seimone Augustus in 2006 708 = number of points by Caitlin Clark in 2024 with 3 games remaining 12.0 = points per game needed over the next 3 games to tie the record - Clark's points per game average right now is 19.1, so she is on pace to set a new record with 765 points in a rookie season. MOST POINTS IN A SEASON 939 = most points in a season by Jewell Loyd in 2023 for former record 956 = number of points by A'ja Wilson in 2024 with 4 games remaining for the new record - Wilson's points per game average right now is 27.3, so she is on pace to reach 1,065 this season. We are about to witness the first WNBA player cross the 1,000 point threshold. I know most of the visitors to this channel have been following Caitlin Clark's season, but you probably don't want this historical achievement to go unnoticed. A'ja Wilson is having a stellar year too. MOST REBOUNDS IN A SEASON 404 = most rebounds in a season by Sylvia Fowles in 2018 for former record 446 = number of rebounds in a season by Angel Reese in 2024 to date, setting a new record 418 = number of rebounds by A'ja Wilson in 2024 with 4 games left to play 7.0 = number of rebounds per game needed for A'ja Wilson to tie Angel Reese - Wilson is averaging 11.9 rebounds per game, but she is also injured. If she can come back for 4 games, she would be on pace for 466, the new record. - Reese was averaging 13.2 rebounds per game and had 7 games left to play. She is on pace for 538 rebounds in a season. But then the injury happened.

Caitlin appears very exhausted, she looks and sounds tired, They all need rest and Caitlin gets too emotional when her shots aren't falling and bad ref calls. Let it go and stay focused and find other ways to get the ball to open players. When the Captain is flustered and frustrated, the team follows. Everyone needs to relax and play the game and stop allowing the referees to upset you. Play as a team, and stop standing around watching and cut in the lane looking for the pass. The Aces are the reigning champions and they will be hard to beat with A'ja dominating the paint.

Perfectly stated. Also, last game, I think you finally saw a prolong back and forth between CC and Sides. CC has finally had with the poor coaching. The frustration level is reaching alarming proportions. And now , perfect timing, she is drawn into contrived controversy about not taking a stance on a certain social issue. I watch her body language once again she biting her nails , rubbing the side of her face just a series of nervous gestures. Her mental toughness is really being pushed to the limit. That why she explodes during a game. She has had it. Sides deliberately is screwing with her head because CC called her last week and Sides was embarrassed. So Sides is punishing her. The half court offense by now has been proven to be the source of all the letdowns. Why Sides does not stay with the Fast break is a mystery. She must not read the press or if does, it doesn't bother her. She knows she is there to stay. I have believed all season that she and the Gm may be having some issues with the folks in Vegas. Most of her lineup changes affect the spread of the game.

They refuse to box-out under the rim. Which is crazy. They refuse to stay home on perimeter defense, and folks with almost 33%+ 3pt shooting are left wide open and are draining them 3s. Some of the youtube channels have mentioned that they are not rotating on defense. Maybe that's why we're seeing so many apparent attempts to double or triple team an opponent in the paint; only to see them pass to a wide open shooter outside of the arc. They don't talk to each other when a teammate is being set up for screen, nor do they talk when a defender is right behind the player with the ball. So much of it is bad coaching. But much of it is a horrible attitude by this team. The talent and skill of AB, CC, and KM can often be enough to lift them to a win. But all those pieces have to be in perfect place for that to happen. And with the combination of crappy refs, Sides worrying about the paint game, poor defense, less than mediocre bench; they might not win a game in the playoffs. The teams going in are skilled with good benches and great coaching (unless the Sky gets in).

Kelsey mostly gets open shots (not saying she is not a great shooter and finisher - she is) but she does not have the responsibility of running the team and getting fouled all the way down the court bringing the ball up. There is a reason why CC gets worn down as she is physically pushed, grabbed and pounded pretty much the whole game without consequence to the defensive team. Kelsey and Caitlin are a great backcourt duo. But imagine how good they'd be if Caitlin could shoot as well as Kelsey. I hope they stay together for a long, long time. One more thing... Becky Hammon fighting with the refs despite her players getting the special whistles. Christie Sides can't make good decisions during the game. She always has to go back to look at the film and that is why she can't be a good head coach. If Christie Sides had fought for her players from the beginning it would have boosted the players confidence and would have put doubt in the refs minds. The Aces should get an Oscar not a Championship.

I'm the last person to blame a game on reffing. I hate it, especially when someone blames a loss on one call that didn't go a certain way. That being said, this is one of the most incompetant displays of officiating I've even seen in professional basketball. The dagger for me was when a Vegas player (don't remember who) jumped 2 feet backwards to draw a foul on a rebounded layup, one of the clearest displays of offensive intitiated contact. I truly believe that being a ref on the floor in real-time is hard to understand, but that was one of the more minor displays of aggregiousness I saw...again, I despise blaming a game on the refs, and this was a rough game shooting-wise for both teams, but this game was also one of the worst officiated games I've ever even seen, period.

Calling out the refs doesn’t have to mean you’re blaming them for the loss. They are terrible, it makes it hard to watch and we need to be making a fuss about it. I’m glad to see that more players are getting minutes. It may pay off down the stretch of the season. Asking Kelsey and CC to shoulder 40 minutes night after night may not be sustainable. If we hit a few more 3’s, who knows? Our shooting percentage was down. This is mostly due to the fact that they are a great team. But, open shots weren’t falling either.
@julesscangojr.35Ай бұрын
It’s absolutely criminal coaching for Temi not to be getting more minutes (and really starting) over NaLyssa. Temi is a better fit. She finishes better, she’s quicker on switches, makes better reads, and she’s just as physical on the boards. Sides is too loyal to players. Look how long it took Hull to crack the starting lineup. Also, when Sides sees CC getting visibly frustrated from the refs (which honestly all it takes is one bad call for her), Sides needs to sub her out. CC will start jawing at them, losing her composure, and then she’s starts to turn the ball over at a higher rate.

Can barely hit the rim on a wide open corner shot these days. She's in the top 30 paid players in the league.....think about that. She can't score, dribble or defend. This roster needs a big change (outside of the starting 5) to really contend. Well and a new coach, of course, but that won't happen.

I’ve got nothing against Kristy Wallace and NaLyssa Smith, but they were not the Right fit here, a very poor cosy choice by Christie Sides. And why doesn’t Sides ever Call a time out like every other WNBA coach when the opponent gets on a run???? Sides Only Calls dam timeouts when our own Team is on a Hot Run. I mean seriously is Sides trying to throw these games ??? Sides Never takes any responsibility whatsoever for her own failures as The Coach, instead she blames every failure on our players over and over.
